[short chapter to get this drama out of the way for now B]

Meanwhile on the football field,

It was just another early morning, dew drops covering the freshly cut field.
There were already some students warming up on the sideline or running tracks to get a head start, Athena being one of those.

Severin walked onto the field and looked over the foggy field.
It had been several days of unbearably awkward practices where not a word was shared between the two.
One thing he did notice was that Athena's death stares turned into somewhat of a uncertain desperate look.

Severin let out a sigh of relief when he saw Athena already looking at him as they were running his way.
Jogging up to them he cleared his throat, "Athena we need to talk."

Athena inhaled and slowed down a bit, Severin followed.
"Yeah, we do." Athena spoke up.

"I'm not going to beat around the bush and shit. What has Freja been saying about me." Severin demanded.

Athena was caught off guard and stuttered, "Nothing really, and that's the problem."

Severin scoffed, "She's just saying I'm an awful person?"
"She just says you're not who you say you are, but that I will find out soon enough." Athena answered.

Severin chuckled at the remark of them finding out soon, "Athena, do you know who I am?"
"You're Severin Scorage?" Athena answered confused.

Severin looked surprised which made Athena doubt themselves, "Did I pronounce it correctly? Or is it 'Scorahguh'. "They put one a thick British accent.

Severin burst out laughing causing Athena to stop jogging.
Stopping a few steps ahead still chuckling Severin finally spoke up, "Well yeah, you're almost there."

"What do you mean 'almost there'." Athena mocked Severin.
"Well technically you're correct. But usually when I introduce myself, I must address my title right after, which I didn't do when I met you." Severin answered.

"Pfft, title? Like you're some kind of celebrity?" Athena burst out laughing.

Severin being a bit offended, stuck his hand out before speaking up, "Severin Scorage, prince of Evermoon. A true pleasure to meet you." He put on a fake smile.

A few seconds of silence was interrupted by Athena bursting out in laughter.
Athena nearly dropped to the ground trying to catch their breath throughout the hollering.

Still trying to catch their breath while wiping a tear from their eye. They looked back at Severin who just stood there, dead serious still waiting for them to shake his hand.

"Wait, you're serious?" Athena asked in disbelief.
All Severin did was raise an eyebrow and signed at his hand, that was still waiting to be shaken.
"Y'know it's bad luck not to shake the hands of royalty if they reach out to you." Severin said smug.

Athena's eyes widened as they shook his hand quickly.
"You're a prince? Like an actual prince?" Athena asked confused.

Severin nodded as he said, "Yup, are you not from around here?" he asked, still kind of surprised at the fact they didn't know him.

"Nah man, I'm from a few countries over. Plus, I never really cared about royalty and shit." Athena shrugged.
"Well, that's great, because I hate the fact I just said my full title." Severin cringed.

"To be fair, you don't really look the part." Athena raised an eyebrow as they scanned him up and down.

Severin frowned as he raised a finger, "Hold on, let me fix that." He spat in both his palms as he created an ugly middle part and put on the fake smile again.

"OOOOH, yeah I see it now." Athena laughed.
Severin laughed along as he made his hair messy again.

"Sorry for making you feel like I was hiding something." Severin spoke up.
"You think that's what Freja is talking about?" Athena asked.

"I mean, I couldn't be hiding anything else." Severin shrugged.
Athena eyes widened before stepping in closer as if they were going to tell a secret, "Do the others know? I can keep a secret, I'll be like your royal guard or something." They chuckled.

"Nah, you're the only slow one I believe." Severin chuckled.
"But thanks for the offer, I would have loved you as a royal guard."

"Offer still stands." Athena winked before their smile faded because of a passing thought.
"What about Freja?" They asked, hoping Severin would have answers.

"Well, it's up to you if you wanna believe her story over mine." Severin shrugged, "But what do you think she means with 'you will find out soon enough." He asked.

"I don't know." Athena was deep in thought trying to figure it out.

"Well, I say we wait it out, but we are good now, right?" Severin asked, scratching the back of his neck.
"Yeah, we are." Athena smiled as they pulled him into a bearhug.

"Athena... I ca-.... I can't breathe." Athena quickly let go dusting off his shoulders.
"Let's get to TRAINING!" Athena exclaimed before sprinting ahead, nearly leaving a dust cloud behind.

Severin stood there for a second, smiling to himself.
'Finally, we got the old Athena back.' he thought to himself before jogging off.

MEANWHILE OVER AT SPARTA COLLEGE.

The Football team players all stood in a line looking over at their coach.

"Evermoon college, they've been tough." Marcus said thinking out loud.

He looked up from his clipboard, his piercing white eyes scanned over the team.
"But I know damn well we can win this." He smiled, yet the smile was not comforting.

"Today is no special day, go start your warmup." Marcus waved the players off onto the field.
"Shiva, you stay here, I need to have a word with you." Marcus said before he could run off.

Shiva walked over rather nonchalant, "What's up." He spoke in a monotone.

"It's the first game of the season." Marcus paused. "And I'll be damned if we lose this." He forced eye contact.

"I think we should be fine. I heard Athena Mcdaniel didn't get the quarterback role. So, they lost from the get-go." Shiva chuckled.

Marcus took a step closer still forcing eye contact. "Don't get cocky now, they're still on that team." He hissed.
"Son, I trust you to win this. But could you do me a favor and keep an eye out on the team. Especially JC and Orion, they've been slacking off." Marcus' tone changed in the matter of a split second.

"Sure, I can do that." Shiva rolled his eyes at the oh so familiar switch up.

"Now go join your team and run 20 laps around the field." Marcus continued,
"And you better finish before them." He smiled as he waved his son onto the field.
