CHAPTER 11

Meanwhile at Walmart:

As Marise, Cedric and Severin were walking through the hallways towards the exit. Before entering the main hall, they were stopped by an unfamiliar voice.

"Which one of you guys was playing guitar just now?" The voice spoke up.

As the three turned around they were faced with a rather punk-looking girl.

"Uhm, that was me?" Severin answered.

"Right, that makes sense. You have time?" they asked.

"Well, I guess I do? But I don't think we have met just yet, who are you?" Severin hoped he just didn't forget her face.

"Oh shit, right, I'm Lucif. I was in room 5 just now. So I heard you guys play." Lucif answered.

"Oh shit! You're the tattoo girl, yeah I have time. why, what's up." Severin straightened himself.

"I need some help with a riff I just can't get right. But all the music students here are like... piano suckers or nerds who only play violin or some shit." Lucif rolled her eyes.

Marise scoffed. "Well you go help her, we will head on and get food ready. If u aren't back on time, I will save u a plate, okay?" Marise didn't wait for an answer before walking off.

"She seems fun at parties." Lucif hinted at Marise.

"Well, she is one of those piano suckers AND a violin nerd." Severin scratched the back of his neck.

"Oh... fuck that's my bad." Lucif laughed.

"Well before she poisons my food, let's get at it?" Severin pointed at the music room she was just playing in.

It looked almost identical, same music equipment and same instruments hanging on the wall and laying around.

"So what song did you need help with?" Severin grabbed a guitar pick and started to fidget with it.

"I have been trying to do Get Jinxed for a couple of days now, and as you may know it starts off pretty fucking rough. I know the chords and shit, but for some fucking reason it just doesn't sound right." By the time she finished the sentence, she was already pacing around the room.

"Well if you know the chords, play me some. I need to know where it goes wrong." Severin pointed at the many guitars on the wall.

"Aight." Lucif grabbed one of the guitars and plugged it in.

When she started playing, it didn't sound wrong necessarily. She was playing all the right chords and obviously knew what she was doing. When it came to the part she was dissatisfied with, Severin noticed something immediately.

He stood up and hinted to her to stop.

"That was actually really good! Though I think I know what's wrong." Severin said.

"What's wrong, this has been annoying me for 3 days straight now." Lucif rolled her eyes as she hung the guitar back on the wall.

"Well, I think it is actually a two-guitar song. So if you want to play it solo, you need a different type of guitar to mimic that." Severin walked over to the wall with guitars on it. though there were more than a few hanging on there, the one he had in mind wasn't there.

"Ah shit... to think they would have it." Severin scoffed.

"Which one were you thinking about?" Lucif asked.
