Aemond stood staring at the throne when Helaena found him.
"Was it worth the price?" she questioned. Aemond didn't answer just stared back at her. His gaze shifting to Scott behind her. Always lurking. Like a good guard should. Aemond only glowered.
"Why did you forgive aemond and Daemon so easily helaena?" Scott questioned holding her close that night, she snuggled into his side feeling completely safe. Daemon had her son killed because of what Aemond had done. Aemond showed no remorse he never even said he was sorry about jaehaerys, he just moved on with the rest of the world. But Helaena supposed so did she.
"Because they are going to die." Helaena answered simply. "They are going to kill each other and there is nothing anyone can do to stop it."
"You know this?"
"I saw it." She agreed.
"I hope they die horrible deaths." Scott remarked.
"They do." She agreed calmly.
"Good... and have you seen my fate or yours?"
"I have seen all of ours."
"Can you tell me?"
"I want you to change the prophecy, you already have slightly." Helaena admitted.
"Oh... a good change?"
"You give me a reason to live." Helaena agreed.
"That's definitely good a change." Scott agreed kissing her.
" We are grateful for your works, Grand Maester." Alicent agreed. " Has he woken?"
' No." He admitted. "I must admit, I'm not sure he will ever wake. I have plied my crafts to their fullest extents. Our king's fate lies with the gods now."
"A king cannot rule in his sleep." Alicent remarked getting up. "The realm will have noticed his absence. Let them hear of his great deeds at Rook's Rest. But now we must name a regent to take his place until he recovers... or does not." She realized.
"A wise strategy, Your Grace." Larys agreed. "A regency will assure the people of the stability of the crown."
"Did you have a candidate in mind, Your Grace?"
"Where's your happy place?"
"I'm in a cabin in the middle of nowhere. Inside it's just me and my stupid brothers." Helaena answered, Scott looked to her confused, that was a happy place? WIth her stupid brothers? "You are there too." Helaena added. Scott nodded confused. "And I'm beating the hell out of them, well, you are. I'm drinking wine and there are butterflies all around us."
"I'm beating up your brothers?"
"Yes. You break a dining room table over Aemond's head. Then you rip off Aegon's arm and shove it where the sun don't shine. Then she reach down his throat and shake his hand."
"Yeah. Okay. I'm gonna go ahead and schedule you for a psych eval." Scott teased. "I'm vicious apparently."
"thats the thing, you are not vicious." Helaena assured. "I think more I know what Aemond is going to do and what he did and... it would be better if they suffered as they would make people suffer."
"How about a new happy place, a cabin, you and me and the kids, and all those butterflies." Scott decided. "Your brothers can be dead somewhere else." Helaena laughed nodding.
"Okay." She agreed her lips meeting his.
"Um... I know its not my place." Scott began.
"Never is." Alicent agreed.
