ROSHNI

The next day as I made my way downstairs after getting ready, I saw chachi in a corner talking with someone over phone. I accidentally overheard her say "I'll come" and quickly cleared my throat to make her know I'm present there. I don't want her to think that I was eavesdropping.

When she saw me she immediately end her call. I expected an argument but to my surprise she simply walked to her room without uttering a word. I stood there for a moment, feeling somewhat confused. Nevertheless, I shrugged it off and headed towards the kitchen.

As I entered into the kitchen I saw Ruhi already present there, pouring the hot coffee into a flask. "Good morning."  I greeted her.

Ruhi looked at me with a small smile, "Good morning di. I've made coffee."

"Thanks," I replied pouring the steaming coffee into a cup. "How are the preparations for your boutique going?"

Ruhi continued, "Everything is going good. Ahaan had looked for some office spaces so today we're going to visit a few to finalize one. We're planning to go to Delhi next week to shift all of my things."

"That's good." I said taking a sip of coffee with a smile. When Ruhi turned towards the cupboard to take something Aman appeared out of nowhere and wrapped his arms around me tightly and kissed on my cheek. I gasped, feeling the unexpected affection from my husband.

Just as Ruhi began to turn around, Aman immediately pulled away from me and pretended like he had just entered into the kitchen.

"Good morning, bhai," Ruhi greeted Aman as she turned around, completely unaware of everything that had happened in the blink of an eye.

"Good morning, Ruhi," he replied before turning towards me with a sly smile. "Good morning, Roshni," he repeated as if nothing had happened.

His eyes locked with mine for an extra second before taking the coffee mug and walking out of the kitchen. I remained motionless, my cheeks was burning and butterflies were fluttering in my stomach.

I turned back to Ruhi, only to find her looking at me with a teasing smile. "I saw everything," she said, continuing to tease me more with her smile.

"Don't blush too much, di. Bhai won't be able to control himself." Her words made me blush even more. She chuckled softly and continued, "Ahaan does the same to me. I think these two brothers doesn't even know what is shame."

Just then Ahaan entered into the kitchen still wearing his night dress. "What's this discussion about me, ladies? I heard my name." He asked with a grin and took a seat on the kitchen counter.

Ruhi handed Ahaan a cup of coffee to him, "We weren't talking about you. We were just discussing a mischievous monkey that escaped from the zoo last night. I think you misheard us."

"Very funny." Ahaan said irritatingly and I chuckled softly watching them.

"What's so funny?" Aman walked into the kitchen and asked curiously. He came to my side and stood close to me.

I leaned slightly to his side and said, "Nothing much. We were just gossiping."

"Can I join?" He wrapped his arm around my waist and asked with a charming smile.

"Of course." I felt a warm flutter in my chest at his touch.

Ahaan chimed in jokingly, "Please give us a warning if you are planning to kiss my bhabhi. We need to cover our eyes." I blushed at his comment and Aman chuckled softly tightening his grip around my waist.

"Oh, so innocent." Aman teased them back while I chuckled softly.

Soon we all served the breakfast enjoyed a family breakfast together with the rest of the family. After that I went to my office with the driver which Aman had assigned for me, while Aman made his way to his workplace.
