Chapter {14}

I quickly scattered to my feet and dust myself off for what seemed like the millionth time this morning.

I walked over to the door across our rug next to the door and quickly unlatched the door and turning the knob rather quickly.

Only to meet the eyes of Colby staring at me intently.
The eerie silence lasted for what seemed like forever.

"C-can I come in?" He asked sounding a bit nervous.

"Oh sorry." I laughed quickly opening the wooden door wider for him to make access.

"So what brings you here this time in the morning?" I asked walking over to the bar stool in the kitchen and plopping down.

"Nothing I'm just bored. Sam's making a video with Nik and Gabe." He said taking some of the granola bar I was eating.

"You know my saliva is on that right?" I asked as he ate the huge chunk of it chomping rather noisily.

"I don't really care Kenzie." He said chuckling and making himself comfortable on the couch.

"You just ate my granola bar and you don't expect me to be sad?" I jutted out my bottom lip and fake pouted about him taking my food.

Usually if someone took my food I would go into some kind of sharkisha mode and probably throw a shovel at their face.

But I've been really weird around him sometimes. Like I can't help but be sweet towards him or something.

"What are you doing?" Colby said ripping me from my world of thoughts.

"Wha-what?" I said shaking my head and looking towards him. He was staring at me confusingly like he was trying to read my thoughts.

"Never mind." he muttered. repositioning himself on the leather couch.

"You cheated!" Colby screamed at me waving his hands in the air like a maniac.

"No you're just a sore loser!" Shouted back laughing at him.

He was angry.

"It's not my fault you're bad at Mario Kart!" I yelled running across the room away from him.

He had a devious face on and he was chasing me around the place.

"Get away from me Colby!" I yelled backing into the room. I knew what he was going to do. And he knows it annoys the crap out of me when he does do it.

"Don't you dare." I kept chanting at him backing up more and more until I felt something cold and hard hit my back side.

I looked behind me and saw that I had hit the wall.

"Frick." I muttered still looking in Colby's direction where he was coming closer with a sly smile plastered on his smug expression.

He knew he had caught me right where he wanted me.

"Get away." I growled getting angry that he was so smug.

"Awwww can you not take a visit from the tickle monster." He said shyly holding up his hands in the air.

"Can you not except you just lost in Mario Kart?" I asked pleading him to stop.

"Sorry Kenzie." He said laughing and running towards me full speed.
