Ayanokoji POV

I sat down on the bus as I observed my surroundings.

'So many students. I wonder if any of them will be my classmates.'

The bus was packed full of students wearing the same uniform. They were all either excited, nervous or a mix of both.

'Not that I felt the same, I didn't come here to compete or nurture myself after all.'

The reason for this was all of the students on the bus were about to attend Tokyo Advanced Nurturing High School. It was a government-funded boarding school that boasted 100% employment and college acceptance rates and was the most prestigious and competitive school in the country. Built to foster growth in Japan's youth so they can lead the country into the future.

'It still seems suspicious that the school can have a 100% employment and college acceptance rate. Are the facilities really that impressive that they can provide that level of education? Is it truly possible for education to equally be able to provide all its students with such a thing?'

I put my arms to my side and I turned my head watching out the window as I saw the Sakura Trees pass us by, their petals falling in a beautiful yet subtle manner.

'If I met the person who organised this school I would ask them: Are all human beings truly equal? They would probably look at me strangely.'

I watched as the bus passed by a mall. I took in the sights. I then saw a few people protesting by the road for women's equal pay. I sighed.

'These days everywhere you go, there's talk about the fight for equality. As a wise man once said, (Heaven does not create one person above or below another.) People like to throw these words around but that's not the whole quote. It goes on to say that (... while we are all equal at birth, pretty soon, things begin to change. Academic effort is what sets some people apart to rise above the others.) At any rate, humans change over time based on their actions. Truth be told, at the end of the day, equality is just a fantasy and most of us go through life denying the fact that we live in a meritocracy.'

I looked out the window staring at the building the bus passed by. I hadn't exactly gone out very often as a child so this was still unfamiliar for me.

'A functioning Society would seek equality. Our society of today has made great strides towards equality thanks to our forebears but I don't think it's so easy to achieve more progress at this stage. If you were to ask me whether humans were equal I would say we're not. If you asked me why my answer would be that some people are simply capable than others. It's irrefutable and an unchangeable fact.'

A young and sweet voice interrupted my thoughts. It could draw you in like sweet nectar does to a bee. I looked to see a girl with short light brown hair standing with an elderly woman.

'She's really beautiful. She seems nice as well.'

I found myself staring at her thighs and then at her breasts.

"Hey now. Can you please give up your seat for this lady?"

She was talking to a muscular boy with blond hair sitting in said priority seat.

'He is clearly very physically capable.'

I noticed his eye shift and spot me in his peripheral vision before he closed them not paying any mind to the girls in front of him.
