Cruise Ship- Ayanokoji POV

It was sudden but our entire year was provided with an all-expenses paid cruise. In fact it was suspicious. Chabashira-Sensei called me to watch the Icarus Play. I sat down next to her as the play began as the clear night sky was above us.

"You know this wouldn't be looked at well if people saw us."

"Then I'll keep it brief. I received a call from someone you know. They told me to expel Ayanokoji Kiyotaka from school immediately."

"Is this some kind of bad joke Chabashira-Sensei?"

"He informed me that he is related to you in a way and that he is a part of some shady dealings."

"Well, his request is completely unreasonable. You can't expel someone without a proper reason."

"Naturally. As long as you're a student here the rules will protect you. Of course, if you cause any trouble that's another matter entirely."

While we spoke Icarus began flying.

"I regret to inform you but unlike the arrogant Icarus I have no intention of picking fights with the sun."

"Your intentions aren't important. I am the one that decides whether you are a problem."

"Are you threatening me?"

"I'm offering a trade. You reach Class A by the end of this year and I'll protect you unilaterally. A good deal right? After all, you could do it right?"

"That's out of the question. I'm not going to devote myself to such a ridiculous and unreasonable goal."

 I got up and was about to walk away.

"Then I'm afraid you'll be expelled Ayanokoji and you'll lose your freedom."

I grabbed her by the collar. I was obviously angry even if it didn't show on my face.

"What kind of teacher are you?"

"Make your decision now. Class A by the end of the year or expulsion."

I let go and stood up straight.

"This is an attempt to manipulate me. You will soon realise why it's not possible."

I left. I went to the side of the ship and closed my eyes feeling the cold breeze on my face.

'Throw away my freedom to protect my freedom. What an awful joke my life has turned into.'

Deck- Morning

Everyone was ecstatic to use the onboard facilities as Ike rushed out.

"This is amazing. It's a real sea paradise!!!"

Kushida looked out to the view.

"The view is so amazing."

Next to her was Shinohara.

"It really gets your heart racing."

"Yeah. It's amazing."

Sudo and the others were there also taking in the sights.

'This ship is really amazing. The Speranza. It has many onboard entertainment facilities and is a luxury cruise so each ticket costs a few hundred thousand yen. For the school to provide us with something like this is suspicious.'
