Sonic: so that's what happened. I knew Amy would probably be against the marriage but I didn't expect her to do something like that
Shadow: that is the last time that I'm getting tricked by any more of your friends
Sonic: well, at least one of them saved you from a huge scandal. plus I wouldn't have believed it was true even if I saw it with my own eyes. I'll have Amy deal with when this is all over
Shadow: so I've heard. you have complete trust in me, it's nice to know that you do
Shadow feels relived as he hears his blue partner has complete faith in him and then tells him to never try and break it
Shadow: don't worry, I don't intend to
Sonic: have you managed to regain your movement back
Shadow: a little. I can stand but I'm not sure if I can walk as much yet
Sonic: Heh, take your time, I'll just have to help you out till then
''Ah, there is the happy couple. get over here you two!''
the president said on the microphone, chatting everyone's attention and looking at Sonic and Shadow, waving for them to come over with Sonic helping Shadow up and holding him up by the arm.
they both went in front of the lake where the president was as he expressed his excitement when he spoke
president: aww, you two seem to be a very happy couple, I'm glad that you have found happiness Sonic. now, everyone here would like to also celebrate your marriage by.....holding you two a really spectacular wedding right here!
everyone in the large crowd applauded the two, making Sonic suddenly feel nervous as he shyly waved back at them, realizing as he saw Sally and Khan walking up to them
Sonic: thanks you all, really......but me and Shadow are already...
President: oh we know you are, but we all wanted to express our gratitude to you two and celebrate by giving you a real wedding to remember. after all, it's not every day that our beloved hero gets married and here to help me is the royal princess from Mobius
Sally: and since me and Khan are the ones that will be uniting you two, it will also be known to everyone in Mobius that our great war hero is married too
''another exchange of vows.....I still haven't go over the last ones I made! and now I have to redo it in front of everyone on station Square!....I bet Shadow even hates the idea''
he took a glance to see Shadows reaction and was stuned by the impressed look on his face as he glanced back
Shadow: you did say on our wedding night that you wanted a grander wedding
''are you frekin serious, I only said that to calm you down you shycopath!.....nevermind, there is no point in refusing now.....you've been though worse, just keep smiling and get this over with before I leturley die from embaresment''
Sonic completely nervous and stiff by all of the commotions and were soon moved into their places as Sally and Khan went in front of the two and had both hedgehogs exchange their vows
Sonic stuttered each time, revealing to the crowd that he was nervous the whole time while Shadow was calm as he glanced at the teen while giving him a smile before Sally said the final part.
Sally: as of today and for the rest of your lives, you two are now husbands. you two may kiss...
Sally's speech was interrupted by a few explosions from the distance with Eggman suddenly hovering above them all on his Eggmobile and proudly yelling out
Eggman: sorry to say this your Majesty but as the grandson of the great creator, I object to this marriage!
Sally: YOU! HOW DARE YOU COME HERE AND RUIN SONIC WEDDING!
Tails and the rest of the gang went to intervene and stop Eggman from destroying everything but didn't get to him on time as he pressed a button and had a missile aiming straight at the royal and Hedgehog couple.
they all manage to jump away on time as the rest of the crowd run for their lives when GUN soldier gets involved and shoots at the doctor only for Eggman to have a hidden barrier around him while his small army of robots attack back
Eggman: FOOLS, DO YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE I WOULD COME HERE UNPOTECTED! NOW, YOUR COMING WITH ME!
Sonic was distracted as he fought the robots that was trying to come near him and Shadow only for his husband to quickly notice the claw coming out of the Eggmobile and was aiming for one of them.
he quickly asumed that it was after Sonic but to his surprise it was aiming for him instead, grabbing him before he his body could fully recover from the serum making him completely defencless.
Sonic looked behind him when he heard a grunt and saw Shadow up in the air, demanding that Eggman release him, however he couldn't since the part of the claw was shot, making it malfunction and slam down in the river with Shadow still in it grasp.
''NO SHADOW!'' Sonic yelled as he looked in the water not seeing any sign of his husband, facing his fears as he took a breath in and jump in to save him
Sally: QUICKLY, EVERYONE GET RID OF THE ROBOTS! SONIC IS IN THE WATER WITH SHADOW!
all of Sonic friend knew of Sonic fear of water and quickly try to deal with things on the surface as Sonic dived down
At that moment, Sonic had no fear of the water when he frantically dive deep and saw Shadow struggling to pull himself out of the locked claw, holding on to little breath he had before Sonic got to him.
Seeing that he needed air the teen placed his mouth over his and passed some air to him, getting Shadow to relax to save what oxegen he was given before watching Sonic swim back to the surface.
the teen took the biggest breath in before diving down again, not caring about what was happening around him with the only thing that was on his mind was saving Shadow, going down and giving him air again the same way and then try to pull onto one of the claws to get it to release Shadow.
Sonic kept doing that same action for another five time till he got the claw to move a little enough for Shadow to wiggle himself out with Sonic then grabbing him and pulling him up on the surface.
by this time everyone was done destroying Eggmans robot as the doctor himself make his escape, looking in the water and all made a plan to save their beloved hero only for him to rise from the water and taking a breath in, holding Shadow in his arms.
Sonic: Shadow!! are you alright, you not hurt are you?!
