". . .and that would be all" moonbyul sits back with an exhausted sigh. sunoo taps his fingers on the desk, clearly bored as his eyes were glued to the book, but he was obviously zoned out. "let's wrap it up for today" moonbyul closes the book, clearly just as bored as he was. time had been passing agonizingly slow.
"do you wanna go out tonight?" sunoo suggests out of the blue and moonbyul raises her eyebrows. the two had grown obviously comfortable with each other, it was a weird bond they had, after all they were both polar opposites, sunoo taught her to be carefree and rebellious, moonbyul kept him grounded to reality. quite the duo they were.
being forced to spend so much time together may or may not have something to do with it, although the two simply clicked in the best of ways. "i nearly had a heart attack the last time we snuck out" moonbyul rolls her eyes and sunoo's lips curved into that trademark boyish grin of his. "can't promise you won't this time either. . .so? are we doing it or are you gonna dip out like a pussy?"
moonbyul clenches her jaw. she regularly was not one to fall prey of rage baits, although she had to surely kim sunoo had a way of bruising her ego, somehow he always managed to get under her skin. and moonbyul wasn't one to back down. sunoo knew that and he used it to his advantage every single time.
"fine" she muttered, crossing her arms "but don't expect me to save your ass if you get caught" she warned and sunoo's grin widened, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "oh i wouldn't dream of it" he drawled, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "i would hate to tarnish your flawless reputation by dragging you down with me"
as they packed up their things the atmosphere between them was light and playful. moonbyul knew his routine all too well— sunoo's incessant need to push boundaries and her own reluctant thrill at breaking the rules alongside him instead of being the good influence. it was a delicate balance they mantained, one that against all odds had drawn them closer.
the two step out on the hallway side by side, walking towards the dormitories. "and wear thicker clothes god damn, i don't care about you enough to give you my jacket" sunoo teases, playfully rolling his eyes. moonbyul clicks her tongue, randomly remembering how riki gave her his jacket that night before the show and that she still had it.
"you're such a bitch sunoo" moonbyul scoffed but she quickly regretted it when her retort backfired and sunoo grabbed her shoulders and put her in a headlock. "what was that again?" he teases as he tightens his grip playfully, yelping when moonbyul bit his arm. moonbyul yanked her head free, glaring at sunoo who was rubbing his his arm with a feigned look of pain.
"you're lucky i didn't bite you harder" she crosses her arms. yet there was a hint of amusement in her tone that betrayed the scowl on her face. "yeah, yeah tough girl" sunoo replied with a smirk. "seriously though, wear something warmer, will you?"
