The Virus of Emerald Hills (Sonadow)

Chapter 23

“Darkmist, it is your time. You direct the guardians and they will follow” 

A distant yet foreign voice had his ear twitching as he listened to the mobians get a plan together while he, Sonic and Silver stood in a triangle, all three of them glowing their respective colours of gold or silver or in Shadow’s version crimson. 

“So, what if we just focus our powers into the orb and you somehow stop time?” Silver questioned for not the first time to the ultimate lifeform who nodded. 

“And we do what?” Drax’s annoying voice came from behind Sonic who grimaced at Shadow’s visible eye roll. 

“Like I said earlier on; all three of us will receive a signal, when that happens release the souls that have latched onto your own, these souls are not the ones given up. These are the guardians of Primal. Then each chaos guardian will have to power up their prime crystals which will separate from the chaos emeralds, following this; I will have the ability to pause time and reverse it without affecting anyone, Mobius will be returned to us. We will essentially go back in time, our selves won’t exist as my powers don’t allow full time travel. Just as ‘Virus’ is plunging the core into darkness, us three will appear and we should be able to trap Virus in a certain orb, bearing in mind this will take a lot out of us and…” 

“Apologies for interrupting Shadow, but we are missing a chaos guardian, how are we going to do this without our pink ninja?” Vector asked, rubbing his head. Shadow actually glared until his eyes scoured the crowd, only to land on his older brother. 

“Do your powers still allow you to manipulate the embers of an entity?” 

“Of course they do but I won’t be able to hold it long” 

“As long as you can hold it to the point that we deal with the Virus” 

“I’ll try my best from keeping you three trapped in time for life or the shatter space” Eclipse said with a grin as he caught the crystal Shadow threw at Eclipse, the alien leaning back into Doom who placed an accurate hand on his shoulder. 

“Shadow, we will try our best to keep Eclipse going; us black arms, will refer to old traditions and take care of the mobians who will be moved to the ark for safety as we release our fumes. Primalisa will not be touched until you return and correct time” Doom stated for his son who nodded. 

“So out of curiosity what happens to Eclipse if he essentially runs out on energy?” Drax questioned moving into position in between Maria and Mephiles, the latter gritting his teeth. 

“Let’s hope that doesn’t happen but if it does I will try and save my son by reversing his age back to an infant” Doom said, not amused by the question. Eclipse only smirked at the horror looks appearing on the mobian’s faces. Shadow only grinned hearing the hidden beneath those words which had some black arms laughing in the distance. 

“Are we ready?” Sonic interrupted the conversation, he knew he wouldn’t be able to hold his gold much longer without help. Silver moved into position as the chaos guardians took their places from Tikal behind Shadow to Honey behind Silver, considering there was three hedgehogs while the other five chaos guardians took their places in order from first to seventh. 

“You’ve got this guys! We believe in you!” Amy called out from behind the protective shields that Doom had personally put up. Rouge, Tails, Knuckles and Cream could only hold hands with each other as they prayed the others made it. 

“Shadow, as soon as you are ready. I will release the first prime crystal; I believe each guardian will last at least an hour, giving you the full time to defeat this enemy and bring our home back” Tikal said, her eyes glowing her respective colour while Eclipse grimaced.
