Rowan pov
After the morning I was kinda glad everything calmed down. I tried to keep my mind from going everywhere whether it was the fact I knew I was having a girl( I was already thinking about what I am going to name my baby girl). Or if it was about how roux and I were official girlfriend and boyfriend.
I was also glad I got to tell Roux about everything, no longer having to worry about the little guilt I felt. I was so happy and I think everyone could tell.
As I failed again to pull myself out of my thoughts and to actually make Berkeley schedule.
I was working for a while when I heard a tiny voice say "excuse me."
Not really knowing where it came from I found myself looking around the room before looking in front of the desk.
A little girl stood there; she was the cutest with cute pigtails in her head and pink overalls.
"How do you make someone happy?" she asked and I smiled at her innocent little question.
"Uhhhh...... you could get them something." I say thinking back to all the times I pulled a small smile out of roux.
"Like a kiss" she asked and I nodded my head slowly. Not really wanting to correct the little girl as her eyes lit up.
" I knew it." she said jumping around a little and doing a little dance.
I looked up at the door as I heard someone else come in when I saw a tattooed woman.
She looked a bit worried but she tried not to show it as she stormed in. " Destiny, what did I tell you about walking away?" she scolded the little girl.
But the girl didn't seem to be fazed by this, as it seemed like an often occurrence.
The little girl seemed to be thinking before she went over to what I am assuming to be her mother acting like she wanted to tell her a secret.
The older woman sighing and not being able to deny her cuteness crouched down and cupped her ear.
Holding her face the girl started kissing her all over with a cute little baby kissing. I felt a smile come on my face as I watched the scene play out.
"Are you Happy?" the little girl asked. The older woman sighed and stood up with a straight face saying "yes I am really happy thank you for that."
Destiny which I am assuming that the little girl name is seemed to pout and cross her arms. "You don't seem happy."
"Well you don't seem happy, kissing is supposed to make people happy." the older woman grabbed destiny hand not caring about her little fit and dragging her out.
I Giggle a little at the two as I didn't expect anything like that to happen today. It kinda made me start thinking of the relationship my daughter and I would have as I got back to work.
I didn't know how long it was as I indulged myself in more work. Even though this job kept me busy I wasn't as tiring as the cafe and I found myself having time to even rest.
I looked up again when I heard the door opening; a smile made its way on my face that only got bigger when I saw Roux walking in.
He had come over to me placing a kiss on to my lips and I found myself blushing still not use to the affection he showed me.
Now that I think about the affection Jason showed me was always sexual and not sweet at all, I thought that it was the best. But seeing how gentle, sweet and caring the Roux was only showed me how embarrassedly dull I was.
Roux pulling me out of my thoughts I saw that he was pulling food out of a bag and I felt my stomach grumble as the smell of the food hit my nostrils. I didn't even know I was hungry till now.
"Let me get another chair" I said as I got up but I didn't go far as Roux was already sitting down and pulling me onto his lap.
"This would work," he said. And I smiled a little as we started to dig into the food.
When I heard roux hiss a little under his voice I turned my head towards him in concern.
"Sorry, am I too heavy." I said and he still had his eyes closed. I tried to get up but he only held my waist.
"It's fine, it's not that, trust me." nodded my head. I went back to eating the delicious food that roux had brought in.
I felt bad because I had a majority of the food but it just seemed like roux was not really eating that much and watching me eat while rubbing my stomach.
I didn't think he had noticed what he was doing but I definitely didn't mind as it was actually really soothing.
But we soon both paused and looked at each other with a wide smile or a small smile in Roux sake. "Did you feel that?" I say to roux. And right as he nodded his head, baby girl decided to kick again.
"This is her first time kicking." I practically screamed. "She must like your tummy rubs." I let out a bit of a giggle.
"Well then I am going to have to do that a lot more." he said as his hand continued to rub my belly.
