Remedy / Tywin Lannister

10. Language

"Where is  lord Tywin?"

"Him and cersei are at the castle." Alice answered.

"He is still hand of the king? Hes never there."

"He is a trusted man and has his hand in many pots in the capital." alice offered. "Cersei is still desperate for a union which wont come." She turned to her son. "What do you think of jaime and cersei?"

"Shes cute but a bitch. Jaime is skilled but cocky." Gregor answered. Alice chuckled softly.

"Yes thats about right." She agreed kissing his cheek. "Alright. Chores. The both of you." She clapped out.

The days moved more slowly with tywin gone but tyrion helped pass the time. He was sweeping the kennels with sandor when Alice found them. A remedy for loneliness was certainly the sight of these two together.

"Doing good tyrion." Alice said he dropped the broom and ran to her as fast as his little legs could carry him. She scooped him up peppering his face with all the kisses.

"My sweet boy." She whispered. Sandor wondered if his mother wanted more children . She was so good with tywins kids and despite cersei being cersei, alice did like another girl to fuss over. Sandor wondered if alice wanted a daughter of her own. Little like herself.  If thats why she doted over tyrion endlessly because he was so little and sandor and gregor were never small at least not that Sandor remembered.

Tyrion was all tuckered out from the day and fell asleep in alices bed as the boys finished their supper.

"Don't be wasteful". Alice instructed

"Why does it matter we are rich now?"

"We are not." alice corrected

"You are fucking-"

"Language!" ALice demanded.

"Lord tywin-"

"Gregor I raised you better than that." ALice cut in. He grunted. "And don't speak like a gorilla." She instructed. "We are not animals gregor. You are my baby boy and I raised you better." she repeated.

"You are shacking up with lord tywin I think-"

"Hush you".  Alice swatted a hand at him " do we need to remedy your behavior with a timeout?" He laughed.

"There is no pleasing you," he teased. "Does lord Tywin please you?"

"Gregor please." Alice begged hiding her blushing face.

"Mum... are we rich now?"

"Sandor... I really enjoy the company of lord tywin. But this relationship is still new. This is our home. You two are my boys. Has anything really changed?"

"Yeah."

"A lot."

" I got a new bed." Sandor added.

" and we got all the good food." Gregor added.

" OK things have changed. I agree but... I don't know what just don't waste your food."

Jaime participated in the campaign against the Kingswood Brotherhood, during which he saved Lord Sumner Crakehall from Big Belly Ben and crossed swords with the psychotic Smiling Knight. When alice heard the news she was amazed and horrified. She thought of jaime as family. He went up against fanatics and won though. He was certainly a skilled knight  

After the brotherhood had been defeated, Jaime was knighted for valor shown on the battlefield by Ser Arthur Dayne, a member of the Kingsguard of King Aerys II Targaryen. Tywin had mixed thoughts on that he didn't want anyone to think he was indebted to the crown to the mad king.

"A knight that's wonderful. He must be so proud.. You must be so proud." Alice remarked.

" yes now I need him to come home because I am tired of dealing with unions for him. Would you look at any of these for your boys?" Tywin questioned

"what is it?" Alice countered.

" women in want of a husband." Tywin answered

" oh no, they want someone high born and respected like your sons, my boys will do better to find a girl that they love as opposed to a Royal Match."

" I suppose you're right, but this will do."

" who have you chosen?"

" I cannot believe this. You have to tell father no. He can't marry a Tully." Cersei demanded. " please my father listens to you. He doesn't listen to anyone else."

" I'm sorry, sweet girl  it's not my say."  Alice countered.

" but it could be. My father loves you. He would marry you in an instant." Alice smiled at that. " tell him this union can't happen. We can't lose him."

"He is heir to casterly rock. He will stay here." Alice reminded her.

" married to some awful wench."

Cersei informed him that their father intended to betroth him to Lysa Tully, and had gone as far as inviting Lord Hoster to their home, to discuss the dower.

She was of course horrified at the idea.

Cersei suggested that Jaime become a member of the Kingsguard instead, replacing the recently deceased Ser Harlan Grandison. Though this would require Jaime to give up his claim to Casterly Rock and his position as Tywin's heir, it would allow him to be close to Cersei as she spent more and more time at the capital trying to distinguish herself to princes to no avail and free himself of the unwanted marriage to Lysa.
