"I love you." Alice said over and over again against tywins lips as he packed up a bag for his journey.

"I will be back before you know it." Tywin assured.

"Promise?"

"I will be back. Nothing and no one could stop me from getting back to you, alice."

"I want to help."

"You are a child." Alice corrected

"Im a warrior mama. I want to help". Sandor corrected. "Im a good fighter. I want to help lord tywin. Hes family now which means i have to look out for him mama"

"San, you are my baby," alice whined. "I cant lose you." She held him close.

"Have faith in me." Sandor begged. "Please. Let me help. You know lord tywin needs all the help he can get." Alice looked to tywin

"I will keep the boys close." He assured and alice nodded reluctantly.

"I want to-"

"Tyrion," alice corrected cutting him off. "No."

. "Cant I help? Sandor is helping!" Tyrion declared.

"Sandor is a lot bigger than you and a lot more advanced in his training." Tywin countered. Tyrion sighed. "Tyrion, I need you to look out for alice. Look out for mama. Thats a big job. I love her and I wouldnt entrust her to just anyone." Tywin declared. Tyrikn nodded meeting his fathers gaze.

"I will protect mama." Tyrion agreed.

Tywin didnt know how to say goodbye to alice. He was fiddling with his saddle as alice ran a calming hand over his back.

"Be careful my heart." Alice whispered "i will be right here waiting for you." Tywin let out a shaky breath.

"I dont want to go. I dont want to leave you but I have to..."

"I know, I know!" Alice assured hugging him. She didn't want to let him go. She knew she had to, but she was going to hold on as long as she could. "I understand. You're so brave, and I know you will handle all of this with the upmost honor and dignity, and bring jaime home. Bring all my boys home."

" I will come home to you."

" I can't wait."

Alice hugged her boys again before they set off.

King Aerys has made representations to Prince Doran Martell that his sister remained in King's Landing and in his power, whilst in a similar letter to Lord Tywin he commented that his son, Ser Jaime, as a member of the Kingsguard was in danger of being sent into the most threatening situations. Alice was worried about him.

Both threats seemed to work, and the Martells committed their forces to the cause, whilst, eventually, word came that Lord Tywin was leading an army to help defend the capital. Ser Lewyn Martell of the Kingsguard assumed command of the Dornish forces, and joined them to Rhaegar's royalist army at the Trident, although the Lannister host was still too distant to lend aid. Ser Jonothor Darry of the Kingsguard rallied the forces defeated at Stony Sept and joined them to Rhaegar's army as well.

King Aerys dispatched his pregnant wife and their youngest son, Viserys, to Dragonstone for safekeeping, under the protection of Ser Willem Darry, the master-of-arms at the Red Keep.

The royalist army, outnumbering the rebels by several thousand troops but considerably less experienced, met the rebels in the Battle of the Trident. The battle was a bloody one fought over the river crossing, but Robert proved victorious.

alice hadnt heard anything from tywin or her boys so she focused all her energy on little tyrion. He loved the attention.

Cersei decided she would be queen when this ended. There would be a new king. A new man that needed a bride and she would be that. So she was busy planning her future wedding while alice read with tyrion, played games and he snuggled in bed with her.

Tyrion loved this war. He didnt have to share his mama with anyone. He didnt have to share mama with his father or sandor or gregor. But he did miss sandor. They played games sometimes

"Mama?"

"Yes my love?" She whispered running her fingers through his wavy golden hair.

"When is sandor coming back?"

She hoped soon. She missed her babies. She knew they were good fighters and wanted to help but she missed them desperately.
