Kendall's House
Y/n's POVMe and Tommy rolled up to Kendall's place after spending the day with Scott and Mason. It's cool seeing Tommy and Mason hit it off; I'm glad he's hanging out with kids his age. I'm also really glad Tommy agreed to come out to LA with me and Kendall for a couple of weeks before he heads back to Texas to stay with my folks. He's set on finishing school there and starting his training for the under-16 bull riding, so I can't be mad about that. But he knows he's always welcome here and can tag along with me and Kenny wherever we go. Tommy's still in his cast and sling; he ended up pulling a muscle in his shoulder. Luckily, it wasn't torn, so no surgery needed, just some physical therapy.
We pull up into Kendall's driveway, and I spot a truck that looks familiar, but I can't quite place why. As soon as I park my new Jeep, we hop out. Tommy jokes, "Damn, Pops, you really need to get those new side step rails." I just roll my eyes and laugh, "I'm getting them installed the day after tomorrow." I throw my arm over his good shoulder and pull him in close as we walk. "You have fun today?" I ask. He grins, "Yeah, Scott's cool. He's definitely obsessed with Khloe." We both crack up at that.
Our laughter died when I spotted Kenny in my oversized gray hoodie, talking to a girl whose back was to me. That's when it clicked—I knew whose truck that was. Kendall looked up and saw me, and I could see both relief and worry in her eyes. "Tommy, go inside," I told him. "But..." I cut him off, "I said go inside, now." He nodded, mumbling as he walked past Kenny and Fallon, heading into the house.
Fallon quickly turned around to face me. "You!" I snapped, my voice sharper than I intended. "You here to finish the job like you threatened last time you were here?" My body tensed, heat rising through me as I stepped closer.
Fallon's eyes widened, and she immediately threw her hands up in surrender. "I'm not here to cause any problems. I came to apologize—to Kendall and to you." Her voice was steady, but there was a hint of fear behind it.
Kendall stepped forward, trying to calm the situation. "Baby, just wait," she pleaded, but I kept my eyes locked on Fallon, ignoring Kenny's words for the moment.
"I've already apologized to Kendall," Fallon continued, her tone earnest. "I gave her the apology she deserved for everything that happened. But I also need to apologize to you—for being disrespectful and for any other issues I've caused. I was out of line, and I'm truly sorry."
I studied Fallon's face, looking for any sign of deceit, but all I saw was sincerity. After a long pause, I finally let out a breath. "Alright," I said, my voice still firm but less aggressive. "I'll accept your apology, but don't think for a second that I've forgotten what happened. You cross any line again, and there won't be a next time."
Fallon nodded quickly, still holding her hands up. "I understand, and I'm truly sorry. I just wanted to make things right."
I gave a short nod, still wary, but willing to let it go—for now. Kendall stepped closer to me, placing a hand on my arm, and I finally started to feel the tension ease up.
