At 9:00 a.m. Mek arrived at Run's house hoping he was in time for one of Kwan's wonderful breakfasts. Mint answered the door.
"Run and Fah are asleep. Do you want to go in and wake them up?" said Mint.
"Sure, this could be fun!" said Mek.
"Be kind, Mek. I'm warning you, you must take good care of my son," Mint said. Mek smiled.
"I'll be nice." Opening the bedroom door he looked at Fah and Run sleeping. He walked over to Run's bed, leaned down, and kissed him lightly on the lips. Still asleep, Run took his hand and swatted at his lips. Mek kissed him gently again. This time Run responded by kissing Mek back. They kissed a little bit and then Mek stopped and stood up. Run lay still, his eyes shut.
"You dare to call me a whore when you kiss back anyone who kisses you in your sleep," Mek whispered.
"Not just anyone, only you. I smelled your shampoo," Run whispered back. He opened his eyes and smiled.
"That's what I like to hear," said Mek, bending down to kiss Run once more.
"Stop, Fah's here!" said Run. "What time is it? I set my alarm for 9:15 and never heard it." As if on cue, the alarm went off. Fah groaned and opened his eyes.
"Oh, hi Mek, what time is it?" asked Fah.
"9:15," came the reply from both Mek and Run. They laughed.
"Why did you come so early, I thought you said you would be here at 10?" asked Fah.
"I couldn't wait another minute to be with my handsome boyfriend."
"I wish that were true but I know you too well, Mek. You came for Kwan's breakfast; you love her cooking." Run laughed and Mek smiled at him.
"Well, I'll go eat breakfast but only so Kwan doesn't think I'm ignoring her... I'll meet you two in the kitchen," said Mek, shutting the door behind him. They heard him singing a love song to Kwan on his way to the kitchen.
"You can shower first, Fah. I'm pretty fast. Anything in there that you need is yours to use." Run liked having a brother.
"Thanks, Run. And they said brothers always fight."
"Somehow I think we'll be okay, we missed the volatile years. If we just keep our hands off each other's boyfriends we should be fine." Run smiled.
Thirty minutes later Run and Fah were eating breakfast in the kitchen while Mek followed Kwan around begging for a little more. Unable to take his puppy dog eyes any longer she said, "Everyone else has eaten, I guess I can give you a little bit extra." She fixed him a small plate and he joined the brothers at the table.
A few minutes later Fah excused himself to brush his teeth. Soon after, Run did the same and then they all left for Khun Korn's office.
Mek found a parking space and turned to Fah. "Are you ready to meet your coworkers again?"
"I think so. They do know I won't remember them, right?" Fah blinked rapidly a few times and bit his lip as he looked at the building.
"Ohm is overly dramatic and even knowing you have amnesia, he will still be insulted if you can't remember him because he's unable to accept not being everyone's favorite. Win is fun as well but very patient and tolerant. They both love my uncle."
The three men walked into the office. At first, no one noticed them. Win and Ohm were gathered around Khun Korn's laptop, all of them discussing something. Mek cleared his throat.
"Mek! How is my favorite lover?" said Ohm, running over to hug him. Mek looked uncomfortable and pulled Ohm's hands off of him. "Hey, what's going on, lover?" asked Ohm.
