Five said as he placed the cutting board on the counter. "What's the date? The exact date."

"The 24th." The Hargreeves siblings were gathered around the kitchen table, looking at Five strangely.

Five asked as he put the bread in his hand down on the cutting board. "What month?" This time it was Lorelai leaning against the kitchen counter who answered. "March."

Five looked at Lorelai's face for a moment and then spoke. "Good."

"So, are we going to talk about what happened?" Luther asked in a curious tone.

Five ignored him and continued making sandwiches. After a short silence, Luther stood up. "It's been 17 years." Five walked over to Luther. "It's been a lot longer than that."

And he teleported. "I didn't miss this."

He teleported onto a stool to reach where he couldn't reach. Lorelai let out a snort of laughter when she saw this. When Five looked back at her, she tried to make her face normal.

"Where did you go?"

"To the future." Five teleported back after answering Diego's question.

"Everything is fucked up, by the way."

"I told you so!" No one paid attention to what Klaus said.

"I should have listened to the old man. Space hopping, maybe. Time slithering is like gambling."

Lorelai whispered. "I told you so." No one heard her, and she didn't mean to be heard.

Five looked up at Klaus. "Nice outfit." Klaus said as he shook the pleats of his skirt. "Danke!"

"How did you get back?" Vanya asked in confusion.

"I eventually had to project my consciousness into a suspended quantum state version of myself that existed in all possible times." None of them understood.

"Translation, please." Lorelai asked in confusion. Diego spoke in a confused tone. "It doesn't make any sense."

Five said in a knowing tone. "It would make sense if you were smarter." Then he looked at Lorelai. "Last time I remember, you were smarter." Lorelai shrugged. She had no time for Five's nonsense.

When Diego stood up quickly, Luther stopped him. "How long have you been there?"

"45 years, more or less." Diego and Luther sat back down. They looked like they needed to sit down even more.

"What do you mean? You're... 58 years old?" Five looked up. He spoke as if he was uncomfortable with the situation.

"No, my consciousness is 58 years old. My body is only 13 years old." By that time, the sandwich he was making was finished. "Someone is finally like me." Lorelai couldn't hide the amusement in her voice.
