The steady patter of raindrops against the window pane filled the cozy apartment with a soothing rhythm. Lisa sat curled up on the plush window seat, her favorite spot in their shared home, watching as rivulets of water cascaded down the glass. The gloomy weather outside only served to enhance the warmth and comfort of the interior.

She pulled her oversized sweater closer around her body, inhaling deeply. The soft fabric still carried the faint scent of Taehyung's cologne, a comforting reminder of her boyfriend even when he wasn't right beside her. Lisa's gaze drifted to the clock on the wall, noting that he should be home from work soon.

As if on cue, the sound of a key turning in the lock reached her ears. Lisa's heart fluttered with anticipation, a smile already spreading across her face before the door even opened. A moment later, Taehyung stepped inside, shaking droplets of water from his rain-dampened hair.

"I'm home," he called out, his deep voice instantly warming Lisa from the inside out.

"Welcome back," she responded, uncurling herself from her perch to greet him properly.

Taehyung hung up his coat and turned to face her, his eyes lighting up as they always did when he saw her. In three long strides, he crossed the room and swept Lisa into his arms, spinning her around once before setting her back on her feet.

"I missed you," he murmured, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.

Lisa giggled, reaching up to brush a stray raindrop from his cheek. "You were only gone for a few hours, silly."

"A few hours too long," Taehyung replied with a playful pout. "Especially on a day like this. All I could think about was coming home to you."

His words sent a rush of warmth through Lisa's chest. Even after years together, Taehyung still had the ability to make her feel like the most cherished person in the world with just a simple sentence.

"Well, you're here now," she said, taking his hand and leading him further into the apartment. "How about we make the most of this rainy evening?"

Taehyung's eyes sparkled with mischief. "What did you have in mind?"

Lisa pretended to consider for a moment, tapping her chin thoughtfully. "Hmm... how about we build a pillow fort, make some hot chocolate, and watch cheesy romantic movies until we fall asleep?"

"That sounds perfect," Taehyung agreed enthusiastically. "But first..." He pulled her close again, one hand coming up to cup her cheek. "I think I need a proper welcome home kiss."

Lisa's breath caught in her throat as Taehyung leaned in, his lips meeting hers in a tender kiss that spoke volumes about how much he had missed her. She melted into his embrace, savoring the feeling of being in his arms once more.

When they finally parted, both slightly breathless, Lisa couldn't help but laugh softly. "I thought I was the one who was supposed to be welcoming you home."

Taehyung grinned, his eyes crinkling at the corners in that way she adored. "We can call it a mutual welcome," he suggested. "Now, about that pillow fort..."

The next hour was filled with laughter and playful banter as they transformed their living room into a cozy sanctuary. Blankets were draped over furniture, pillows were piled high, and fairy lights were strung up to create a magical ambiance. By the time they were finished, the space looked like something out of a fairytale.
