Dear Conscience,
I am writing to you today to apologize for my recent behaviour. I know that I have not been living up to the standards that you have set for me, and for that, I am truly sorry.
I have been making decisions that I know are not in line with my values and morals. I have been taking shortcuts and making excuses for my actions. I have been ignoring your voice, even when it was screaming at me to do the right thing.
I realize now that I have been putting my own selfish desires above everything else, and that is not who I want to be. I want to be the kind of person who listens to their conscience and follows their inner compass. I want to be someone who can look at themselves in the mirror and be proud of the person they see.
I understand that I have let you down and that it will take time and effort to regain your trust. But I am willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. I will start by making a conscious effort to listen to your guidance and to act in accordance with my values and morals.
Please know that I am truly sorry for my recent actions and that I am committed to making amends. Thank you for always being there for me, even when I have not been there for you.
