Fredrick, the young coachman, gripped the reins tightly, his dark brown hair damp with sweat. Blue eyes wide with fear, he felt the weight of unseen eyes upon him. With each creak of the carriage, his unease blossomed into panic as vague shapes began to emerge from the trees—mystical creatures from the corners of nightmares, menacing yet ethereal.

Sera sensed Fredrick's escalating anxiety. She moved silently, her presence a calm amidst the storm. Suddenly, she was beside him, her hand gently covering his mouth. "They cannot see us, so keep your mouth shut." Her voice was a soft, reassuring whisper that seemed to weave a spell of serenity.

Fredrick nodded mechanically, heart racing as enchanting shadows danced closer. Sera's steadying gaze fixed on him like a lighthouse in a tumultuous sea. The creatures, shimmering with dangerous beauty, drew nearer, yet Sera felt the surge of her magical arrows thrumming against her side, ready to defend them.

The Guardians of Vianden were accustomed to the whispers of danger lurking in woods like these, but nothing could fully prepare them for the sight that now emerged just beyond the grove.

A horde of mystic creatures, vibrant and surreal, shuffled past them—fey and spirits that flickered like bright stars against the dark abyss. It was a strange sight, and where any ordinary human might have been in awe, the adventurers felt only a cold terror.

As the chaotic flurry of wings and whispers filled the air, a tiny fairy perched on a branch halted mid-flight. Her luminous frame shimmered with urgency, and with a quick wave of her hand, she gathered her kin. "Something stirs," she insisted, her voice piercing through the din.

The other fairies, sensing the shift in the air, turned with her, their luminescent forms pulsating as they dispelled the invisibility barrier that had cloaked the carriage and its occupants. With a sudden realization, the horde of mystical beings turned en masse, their eyes wide with curiosity and hostility, drawn to the humans now stripped of their protection.

"Raphael!" Nina shouted, her heart racing. "We need to move now!"

"Fredrick!" Raphael bellowed, slapping the back of the horse. "Draw the carriage! Now!"
