Hiroki POV

"Nao! How was your day?" I asked.

"Huh? Oh. It was fine." Nao responded.

"It was fine? Well, at least you had a better day than me! The math test sucked hard!" I said.

"It did? Should have studied then." Nao said coldly.

"Well, If I had to choose between studying and training, I think there's a clear winner!" I exclaimed.

"Uh huh." Nao said looking at her phone.

Huh.

She's acting weirder than usual.

She has been like this for around a week now, but I thought maybe she was going through something.

Hopefully she gets over whatever problem she's going through!

"Hey Nao." a man stated.

What?

"Hm? Oh! Hiroki, this is one of my friends, Jackson." Nao explained.

What stood before me was a hulking beast of a man.

"Yo! Name's Hiroki, but you might already know that! After all, I am the strongest fighter at our school!" I introduced myself.

"Strongest fighter?" Jackson asked.

"Yep! One time, I even beat up seventeen guys at once and lived to tell the tale! You can consider myself quite well known!" I said in a cocky way.

"Pffft hahahaha!" Jackson started laughing.

"W-what's so funny? You think I'm joking? I can prove my skills quite well!" I provoked.

"Sure you can buddy, sure you can." Jackson said inbetween laughs.

"I-is it a fight you want? I can show my strength to you that way!" I threatened.

"Hiroki, don't fight for my sake!" Nao warned.

"Nao, I'm your boyfriend, right? It is my sworn duty to protect you from people like him!" I proclaimed.

"People like me? I get it. You're fighting me because I'm black!" Jackson provoked.

"W-what? No! I want to fight you to prove who's stronger! And my pride!" I explained.

"Tsk. All you yellow rice pickers are the same!" Jackson pushed on.

"Don't call me that! You... monkey!" I yelled.

I don't really like making racist insults, but I need to stand my ground!

"Now you're getting it! Come at me!" Jackson pointed at me.

"You're the one that started this, so I'll be the one to end this!" I yelled before charging at him.

...

This is gonna be hard.

I'm tiny in comparison to this dude, so I have to plan carefully.

As I'm charging at him, I stop myself a couple feet before him.

Now we're in a stand off between us, both sides shooting glares at the other.

I won't lie, as much as I wanna fight fair, the size difference between us poses problems.

Jackson takes the first move and clocks his shoulder back.

I use that tell and duck the oncoming punch.

Jackson starts to clock back his shoulder again, so I decide to pounce in the opportunity.
