Chapter 10 | Love

Having left the Shishigumi hideout, Misaki helped Legoshi walk as they left the building. Legoshi was kind enough to carry her clothes as she folded them neatly and securely so that one didn't leave the other. She still couldn't get over that he saw her naked and was now carrying her clothes. They should at least go out for a dinner date first.

Coming back to reality, she wished she was stronger to carry him. "Woah," Misaki looked around at the tied-up lions and dead bodies. "You did all this?" She looked impressed. "Not a chance. I got help from an old panda guy. He's probably safe somewhere," Legoshi pointed it out. "If you ever meet him again, tell him he's my new idol," she chuckled, walking him to the exit.

"I'll... try." Despite her carefree attitude, Legoshi was thankful that she was alive. He wanted to hold her more and keep her safe; love her when he almost didn't get the chance. The two gasped upon hearing a gunshot. "Come on, let's get to safety," she said, carefully tugging him. "Tell me when you feel tired," she added. "Alright," he weakly nodded as they left the area.

They walked until they found a park with benches. She was getting concerned because it felt like she was dragging a dead body. She laid him over at least two benches before patching him up. She had no clue what to use to cover his bite mark. Her shirt was dirty from that lion's blood and she doesn't think her shorts and panties are safe to use.

She looked down at his hand that gripped her clothes for dear life. She tried to reassure him by caressing his hand which loosened his grip on her clothes. She scratched the back of his ears before using her bra to cover the wound temporarily. It was a beige sports bra and she tried to flatten the foam cups before tying it flatly.

She blushed lightly to find him grabbing her hand unconsciously. She waited for him to wake up as the clock struck eleven o'five. She sighed in relief to see Legoshi moving and waking up. "Thank goodness, you're awake," she gripped his hand in worry. "You lost consciousness while we were walking," she shared as he unconsciously leaned on her other hand.

"You held onto my clothes for dear life though, so it indicated you were still alive," she continued. "I patched your wounds. Although, it's temporary," she added. "Thanks," he nodded, comforted by her hand holding his. Wait, hand-holding? He sat up and looked at their hands with a blush. "I'm sorry..." He looked up at her saddened face.

"You got hurt because of me," she tightened her grip on his hand. "Like I said... No matter what, I'll protect you," he caressed her cheek. "Still... I..." Seeing him get hurt pained her. She closed her eyes, her heart beating fast as he kissed her forehead. "Right now, I just..." His stomach growled, "Want something to eat..." He chuckled to hear her stomach growling too.

"I don't have any money," she sighed. "Don't worry, I'll treat you."

Not too far from the park, they found a yakisoba stall. Before leaving, however, Legoshi covered Misaki's nose with dirt and used his handkerchief to hide her hair and ears. "Here's two large servings of yakisoba noodles with egg!" The server served their food. "Woah! This looks delicious!" Misaki exclaimed. She never had yakisoba before.

The Facility was strict with what she ate and the school typically served healthy food. "Thanks, miss!" The server smiled. "Here," Legoshi gave her chopsticks. "Thank you," she smiled at him. "You look like you've been through hell, kid! Eat all you want," the server exclaimed to Legoshi. "Thanks," he nodded and stiffened to feel Misaki intertwining her fingers with his.
