A man emerged from beneath the sands of Gerudo Dessert. His long red hair whipped around his head profusely from the fierce winds that inhabited the terrain. He removed his skull shaped mask in order to get a better view of his surroundings. He could barely see anything through the sandstorm; however, he was familiar with the direction he needed to go.

The figure chuckled. He forgot how frigid the temperature could shift when the sun went down. It was a welcoming change from the fiery climate of the Underworld.

"Do not fail us."
Their words still stuck with him after a decade. When he first set off on his journey.

He had been tasked with an important mission. Take over the Surface World. If he could conquer Hyrule and find the Triforce, he would be able to succeed. The demons would rule.

At long last, he would be respected—feared even.

The only problem being that the Triforce hasn't been seen in eons.

Some say that it was shattered into many pieces and scattered across Hyrule. Others assume it's just because no one knows the keys to get into to the Sacred Realm where the relic is said to rest.

Triforce or not, he would become king. And if he did manage to find the relic, it would just be a tool in securing his victory.

However, he had heard the legends of those who had tried to conquer Hyrule in the past. He should know, he was named after one of them.

They always met their demise at the hands of two individuals destined to thwart the efforts of those will malicious intentions. The three were bound by the invisible threads of destiny.

One, a hero wielding the sword that seals the darkness and the other, a princess that carries the holy powers of the goddess. Finding them and taking them out before they became a problem would be ideal.

He had started his journey ten years ago, and within that time, he still hadn't found the princess. And he didn't even know where to start looking to find the hero.

But he couldn't delay his mission any longer. He was confident that once he started his siege, they would turn up eventually.

The man put his mask back on. He would not fail.

It would make sense to head straight to the castle, but the man had one other destination he longed to visit first.

With an army of monsters emerging behind him, he headed to a town within the middle of the barren desert.
