Link slowly opened his eyes. The sun had risen, but when he turned his head over to look at his roommate's cot, Ace was still sound asleep. At least Link was able to keep his promise of waking up on time. They could even catch breakfast before going to the training grounds.

Link sketched more of the girl, and drew some pictures of the sword in his notebook while waiting for Ace to wake up.

Dreams were usually muddy for Link. Details would often get blurry or even forgetful as they progressed, but the dreams he had been having the last few nights were clear and vivid. So much so that he could perfectly recall what they looked like enough to translate them to paper. Maybe after his inauguration, he could ask around to see if anyone could identify either the blade or the girl.

When Ace finally woke up, he was baffled that Link was already awake before him. Surprised, but still happy that they wouldn't be late today.

The two put on their armor and headed out to grab some food before making their way to the courtyard.

Morning rounds went on as usual, but there was a hint of excitement in the air. This would be the trainees last day of practice before their knighting ceremony tomorrow.

Link was standing on the side of the familiar clearing cheering on Ace as he bested his opponent in a match.

Ace's favorite weapon to use was a claymore. Only a few liked to use them regularly because they were heavier and therefore more difficult to control, but Ace's stronger physique made it easier for him to wield. Link didn't mind using claymores, especially if he was going up against the larger opponent, but he preferred a weapon he only had to use one hand for.

Sir Ambrose declared Ace as the winner and Ace walked over to Link to put his claymore back.

"Not bad for your last spar." Link complimented.

"Not bad? I was brilliant! And starting tomorrow, everyone in Hyrule will know it." Ace replied with a big grin plastered on his face.

"Just remember the little people when you become famous, yeah?" Link chuckled.

"I'll be sure to."

"Men, return your weapons and line up!" Their conversation was run short by the captain.

All of the guys rushed to follow orders and ended up in two even rows.

"Remove your helmets."

The men, confused, hesitantly took off their helmets. Ace looked over to Link, who was at the end of one row to his left. Link just shrugged not knowing any more than the rest of the guys.

Sir Ambrose walked back and forth between the two rows as he began his speech.

"Soldiers, this marks the end of your training. Through hard work and perseverance, you are now ready to serve your kingdom. Look around at your fellow comrades."

The guys turned their heads.

"These are your brothers in arms. You started this journey together and you shall continue together. No more spars between one another. Now you will fight alongside one another on the fields of battle."
