Today is the 4th Year anniversary of Motion and the boys are throwing something big at the club, He’s been happy recently, I don’t know why though; Probably some bitch. Nah, Kea is a lot of things, he REALLY is a lot of things but a cheater I highly doubt it. It’s been a 2 Months since he met my parents and they just adore him, I think its because of his upbringing how he was forced to grow up quickly. Every time I go over there for either an Art show or to just visit, it always the same, Where’s Kea? How’s Kea? Did you bring Kea? Like damn, what about me, I also exist too.
We haven’t really discussed much about him being a drug dealer or if his brother’s girlfriend’s know about their dealings on the side, in all honesty I don’t wanna be stressed by such. Life itself is already busy and stressful, being an Artist and Accountant is hard as it is I don’t want to be thinking about how my Boyfriend Is selling Drugs for a living to feed his family.

Although this is sad news, I’m devastated to say Kea sold the Skyline, he didn’t give me a reason as to why he sold it, but he looked just as sad when he was selling it.

“I have a question” I say.
“Sure” he says concentrating on the road. I look at him seriously, because this has been eating at me at the longest. I know he doesn’t look like the type, but hey with men you cannot be sure, “What are your thoughts on Polygamy?” he looks dead straight and keeps quiet and I can see a smile creep in.
He clears his throat and releases an unsure laugh, “Remember Kea this is a test,” he whispers, laughs and I push his shoulder, “No, I have never thought of Polygamous relationships, why?”
“Well, you know since your Mentor has 2 girlfriends, I thought maybe you were also into those types of relationships.” I say.
He chuckles, “Nah, I have thought about it, that was before I was with you, but now that I’m with you, I realize that your 8 personalities are all I need” he says and chuckles, OH MY DAYS, My 8 what? I chuckle and place my hand behind his head. He looks at me, and I look back at him, he leans in and I lean in too.

We stop at the club and Valet comes and takes the car away, the line is stretching around the block. We walk, hand in hand, Pretoria’s weather has started warming up since its October, he’s wearing White slacks with a plain Black T-shirt, with a Gold watch and chain. I’m wearing a White sundress, with a Gold chain he got me, I think 2 weeks ago. We walk into the club and when we reach the dance floor, he stops for a minute. He’s scoping the area, for what I don’t know. I pull his arm and we walk to the Owners box. We walk up and I find Lindy there, “Lindy” I shout, “What are you doing here?” I ask hugging her tightly.
“Well, Kea invited me” she says.
His other brothers walk in laughing and bumping one another, and stop when they see us and greet Kea.
“Hi guys” I say.
“Hello mama” they all reply. Still don’t know how to bring it up at this point it has become a part of my life.
“This is Mandla, he’s the youngest” I say and she shakes his hand.
“This is Thapelo” she shakes his hand and smiles.
“And last and finally least, this is…” he immediately cuts me off.
“Lethabo” says Lucas, he seems struck or something, he reaches his hand out and she shakes it. “Lindokuhle” she introduces herself.
They look at each other and smile, “So where’s Lerato and Thobile?” I ask.
“They are coming” says Tips.
We sit down and the night goes along as Kea does his usual tradition of standing by the guardrail and looking out into the club, but he’s not my main concern right now. Thobile is my concern right now, her smile is completely gone. I mean, I know love can be stressful, but can it reach a point where you are thrifting into and out of consciousness. I hold her hand and she shakes out of her head, she gives me a fake smile, even the blind can see she’s faking it.
“You OK?” I ask.
“Yeah, just tired” she says, that’s just an excuse.
“So how have you been?” I ask.
“I have been good, just think, I miss my children” she says.
“Ohh how are the Grade 1s?” I ask.
“So good, they are so excited to go to Grade 2” she says and now there seems to be joy in her eyes that quickly fades into lament. I look at her deep, she looks back and gives a fake smile. “Come to the house, we have a little girl on girl time, I’m not taking no for an answer, I know its school holidays” I say.
She smiles and nods at me. Lucas walks up to Kea and pats him on the shoulder, “Don let me talk to you for a second”, Kea downs his drink and walks with Lucas down to the bar. I’m still look at Thobile; I mean I know it ain’t my business, but could Mandla be cheating on her. I mean if he was, why doesn’t she leave? I give her a side hug and comfort her, I hope she tells me everything tomorrow. At this point we are a Support group, anytime either one of our boyfriends does something crazy we tell one another so we talk to someone.
I turn my attention to Lindy, who has a glass of Wine in hand, “So how are things with Mr On and Off?” I ask.
She smiles at me and looks down, “We broke up” she says.
“Oh no, why?” I ask.
“Come on, you are happy deep down” she says.
“Look, I didn’t think he was good enough for you, but you still had a lot of feelings for him, so I’m kinda sad” I say.
“Well, I told him, I was waiting for marriage and he kinda flipped out” she says.
“Oh, well are you OK?” I ask again.
“Yeah, I guess you were right” she says, “But, its whatever, when God closes one door, he opens a German door”. I shuffle near her and hug her. She stands up and walks to the guard rail and sips her wine. I think she’s becoming a Mini-Kea cause she’s looking at the dancefloor too. I walk behind her, “What are you looking at?” I ask.
“Nothing, just wanted to see what your Boyfriend sees in this view” she says.
“Oh yeah, No, even I can’t figure it out” I say. We are both looking at Kea and Lucas at the bar. The 2 are laughing, I don’t know about what. Tips walks towards them, and Lucas reaches over the Bar to the point his legs are in the air and comes back up with a bottle.
“Oh no” says Lindy.
“What?” I ask.
“My ex is here, with his brother” she points and there looks like there’s a gang of them. She tries to leave, “No, stay here, Mandla” I call, he looks at me, I point downstairs. If this is gonna go the way I think its gonna go, then they need to have each-others backs.

“Yeah so that nigga hasn’t payed yet and this isn’t…” says Lucas.
“Ekse” says a guy tall guy with a bald haircut. Kea, Lucas and Tips look at the guy and look at one another, “You guys wanna a drink?” asks Kea.
“Nah, are you the bastards who pulled a gun on my little brother?” asks the tall guy.
“What brother?” asks Lucas.
The light skin boy from the party where Lindy was found comes forward, “We’ve never seen this man in our lives” says Kea chuckling.
“This some kinda joke?” asks the man.
“Look man, you can either buy something or dip” says Lucas.
“No, yall pointed a gun at my brother, and we ain’t leaving until yall apologize” says the man pointing at Lucas.
“Aye don’t put your fucking finger in my face nigga” says Lucas.
“Or what, mh or what” says the man.
“Listen let’s all calm down ait” says Kea, “Look man, yall want drinks, we got 20% off all drinks, once off special” as he pours the guy a drink.
“This one is on the house” says Lucas adding on. The man slaps the glass out of Kea’s hand.

I look towards Lindy as she sees all of this going on, I can already tell what’s going on, “Now that wasn’t nice” I read Kea’s lips. Kea whispers something into the mans ear. Immediately the Man tries to swing. Kea ducks, and he swings too connecting with the man’s jaw, he punches another while Lucas, punches Lindy’s ex. Someone pulls Lucas off and hits him, rocking him, a few steps. Before the man could walk forward, Kea kicks his leg bring him down on one knee. Lucas hooks him and knocks him out. Tips is simply ducking punches with immense ease, every punch he throws lands clean. Security finally joins in and takes the men, away all 8 of them.

They walk up and sit down, breathing deeply. Kea pours himself a glass and downs it and takes a deep breath. He pours another and downs it again, then takes another deep breath, he nods and I walk behind him and place my hand on his back. He looks back at me, “You alright?” I ask. “Yeah” he says and hugs me.
He lets go and I look at him, “Its done” I say.
He looks at me confused and I say again a bit more sternly, but gently, “Its done”. He reluctantly nods his head and sits down. I sip on my wine again and this time it tastes bitter guessing that’s all the rage, I feel from these guys attacking Kea and his brothers.
Shit I forgot about Lindy, I look at her and she’s just downing her glass. “Are you OK?” I ask. She nods quickly and just sits back, she looks like she’s about to burst into screams. I comfort her, “How are you getting Home?” I ask.
“Uber” she says.
“Nonsense, you leaving with us, we’ll get you home” I say and she nods.
Seems like the place has moved from the events, because the club is going even harder. In all honesty I’m not gonna lie, after that fight this place has literally drained my energy. I signal to him, that we should leave, he nods. He stands up and says Bye to everyone and shakes his brother’s hands and waves to Thobile and Lerato. I hug everyone, even the Boys even though they give off the aura of tough guys, deep down they are soft deep down.
