I sat on the mattress. Izuku sat next to me shaking his leg nervously "Do you think the plan worked Izu?" "Yeah, I'm pretty sure it did" At that, I let out a breathy laugh, it worked faster than expected Izuku thought we'd actually have to repeat it more than twice before Todoroki snapped.
It was just a small plan to get Todoroki to tell me about his promise, and for me to explain that we didn't have to be more than friends. Izuku said he'd be jealous that he and I were getting closer, he said he had been acting like my boyfriend for the whole month to get Todoroki to realize. I'm sure there was more to it but I didn't care it almost worked.
"We have to go get drinks and celebrate!" He exclaimed happily and I obliged.

I had the biggest hangover, me and Izuku's drinking competition was not my smartest idea. And the articles about 'Shoto's sidekick drinking her way to the top' weren't amazing either.
A knock echoed through the empty apartment. I walked carefully to the door already having an inkling of who was behind it, and lo and behold I was right. Todoroki stood there with his messy hair and pretty eyes staring at me like a hurt puppy. He was holding a pretty bouquet of blue flowers and biting the corner of his lip nervously. 'Make him grovel' Izuku's voice sounded in my head.
I crossed my arms and leaned on the doorway "Yes?" "I just wanted to apologize for what went down yesterday, it isn't my place to tell you who you can and can't go out with and I would love it if you'd forgive me by letting me take you to the furnit- 'IKEA' to IKEA and renovate your apartment" He stuttered and looked around nervously, almost cracking my tough act. I stood silently "Um in my head you were gonna say something now but I'll... give you more days off too if you forgive me?" He looked so genuinely confused which made me start laughing to the point of tears.
"Ha d-did you write that first part do-down?" I said squeezing my stomach while wheezing Sorry Izuku, Todoroki stood there looking more confused before he shamefully nodded which made me laugh even more. I composed myself and spoke "It's fine Todoroki but I'd appreciate it if you talked to me properly next time, and Izu told me something about a.... promise? I'd be pleased if you could explain that to me"
So we took a seat inside and he explained everything.
