I woke up peacefully again this morning, like every other morning for the past month, and brushed my teeth. Life was going amazing really and I couldn't wait to go back to work today to see Shoto except-
I didn't have work today, me and him were going to Ikea! And that is how I ended up here in my empty closet having a breakdown over what to wear waiting for Mai to come save me. I still couldn't believe that I wasn't in a dream. It was like he transformed from my grumpy mean boss into my favorite person overnight, except it took two months but that didn't matter
The doorbell rang. Finally, Mai came, I got up to answer the door "Finally it took you long enough..." Mai was there, but standing next to her was also Shoto.
"I'm sorry am I late? I thought I reached a little early" He quietly spoke. Behind him, Mai fanned herself "No, you're very early don't worry, I thought only Mai was here" I chuckled nervously as he turned around to see who I was talking about. "Oh, I could wait somewhere else if you planned on seeing her first" "No you know what this is the perfect opportunity to introduce you two!"
We entered the house quietly making me second-guess whether this was a good idea. After pouring them cups of tea I dragged Mai to my room and slammed the door shut. "He. is. hot." She whisper-shouted. "I know, now can you please find me an outfit fast so you can go distract him" I whisper-shouted back, pleading "Dont worry babe, I got you an outfit on the way, I also have a surprise for when you get back," she said pulling out the prettiest glitter silver top with those cool baggy V-necks, and black flares before winking and walking out. Not bad, who said overdressing was a thing?
I put the pretty clothes on, looking at the mirror before walking out. I was not bothered at all that Mai was laughing and Shoto was blushing, I was entirely nonchalant about the fact that they could've gotten along well.
I cleared my throat, and they both turned to look at me. Shoto's aura spiked up again.
