Kruno took a shaky breathe as she stepped back from her mom, and gave her a large smile.
"I love you." She said, but the words seemed foreign on her lips. She hadn't said that to her mother in so long that it seemed as if she was speaking a new language.
"I love you too." Her mother said as she kissed her head gently, a small smile forming on her lips.
"Hey mom..?"
"Yes, baby girl?"
"Where's Watamote?" She asked in a timid voice, and her mother smiles brightly before she took her daughters hand and pulled her down the hallway. She opened what was Kruno's room and smiled at Watamote slowly lifted her head up off the bed.
A small whimper erupted from the large dogs mouth as she jumped up front the bed and ran towards Kruno. Her paws connected with the girls shoulders, knocking her to the ground as Watamote climbed on top of her and began to lick her face furiously.
A giggle escaped Kruno's lips, making Kiba and Tsume's heart flutter slightly at the sound of the long lost laugh that used to fill the Inuzuka house hold with joy, a laugh that everyone loved.
Kruno wrapped her arms around her companions neck, pulling the furry beast closer to her. "You've gotten so big, Watamote!" She shouted, and the dog yelped back in response, the whimpering noise still escaping her lips as she nuzzled her head into the girls cheek.
"I missed you too." She said to the animal, slowly brushing her fur down before she stood up and looked back at her sibling and her mom,
"Mom, can I go out and around the village if I take Watamote with me?" She asked, and her mom nodded her head with hesitancy.
"As long as you promise to come home." She said, and Kruno nodded slightly before she placed her hand on Watamotes head, slowly ruffling the dogs fur. Watamote glanced up at her owner and barked slightly before they walked out of the house and down the streets of Konoha.
Her eyes trailed along the walls of the beautiful village, her mind having completely forgotten how much beauty this town actually held in it. Her feet trailed slowly down the road slowly, her arms swaying slightly at her side as she walked. People's head turned towards her slightly as they saw her, a few gasps escaping people's lips, a few murmurs could be heard from villagers who were unaware she was still alive.
Kruno ignored their words, her feet never picking up in a pace in worry or fear, her face never showing that the words they had bothered her person. Her stance was straight, and the pride radiated off of her. That was a normal thing for Kruno though, a villager would never notice that she was down when she actually was because she held herself with such pride that it was basically a shield of how she actually felt.
Watamote brushed up against her humans legs slightly, nuzzling her head against it as a ninja was pineapple hair walked towards them with a smile playing slightly on his lips.
"Hey." He said.
"Hi." She replied, smiling a little bit. She had not fully forgiven him for what had happened, because she could still see his body saying those words even though she was more certain now that it wasn't actually him. Because why would he put in all of this effort to get her back if he was the one who wanted her to leave in the first place?
"So, my parents want to see you. My mom's eyes practically jumped out of her head when I told her that you were back in Konoha and alive. Then she preceded to repetitively hit me in the head until I told her I would bring you to see her, that troublesome woman.." He mumbled, rolling his eyes slightly.
Kruno gave a small laugh before she nodded her head slightly. "I'd like that, I missed your mom and your dad." She said, her mom screaming at her to say 'And you.' but she pushed it down to the bottom of her stomach.
