Bells pov

3 days later. Life had been a mess. Kevin was alright. He was a great guy who treated me good but it didn't beat joão and my luxury lifestyle back home in Madrid.

It being picky or anything but I did miss him. But now he didn't even live in Madrid for the next 6 months.

I stepped out the shower in the guest room I was staying in and heard my phone buzzing against the counter.

I looked at the contact "Chelsea and Westminster hospital" went across the top.

My eyebrows raised in confusion and I picked up the call slightly panicked.

"Hello, this is Doctor Judith, I work for the Chelsea and Westminster hospital. Am I speaking with Arabella Garal?" The woman on the other asked and my voice was a bit shaky. "Yes."

"We have you listed as one of the Emergency contacts for João Félix, is that correct?" She asked. "Yes."

I remembered before new years me and joão were talking about his emergency contacts because his family lived in Portugal.

"I'm sorry to inform you. João has been involved in a car accident." She told me and my heart dropped to my feet.

"What? No, that can't be him. Your lying." I looked in the foggy mirror and seen the tear forming in my eyes.

"He has a broken wrist and a moderate PCL tear. He is in stable condition but we would like you to come here just to support as he may need. If you have any questions or need directions we can help with that. I understand this is difficult news to receive. Do you have any questions or or anything else you need to know of?" She asked and I shook my head.

"No, I will be there maybe tomorrow. Im sorry I'm in Mexico City. I will get there as soon as possible." I told the woman before hanging up.

I started balling my eyes out into my body towel I still had on and got a knock at the door.

"Bella. Are you okay?" Kevin asked and I wiped my tears and opened the door.

"No. I need to go now. I'm sorry. João got into an accident and he needs me." I went over to my bed and opened my suitcase and pulled out an outfit.

"Can I do anything?" He asked rubbing my back and I nodded.

"Buy me a plane ticket. Now." I handed him my phone as I put my bra on.

He nodded and left outside the room shutting the door and I changed into grey sweats and a black essentials hoodie.

Kevin came back in and handed me my phone. The flight left in one hour and I quickly got all my things together.

12 hours later

I arrived in Chelsea and immediately went straight to the hospital.

I got in around 3 am and got to the hospital at 4 am.

The nurse at the front desk told me joão was in room 447.

I went to the elevator with my suitcase and backpack on still.

I knew I looked crazy coming to the hospital looking like it was hotel.

I got up to the fourth floor and basically ran looking side to side until I made it to room 447.

I went inside and seen joãos sleeping body in the hospital bed.

I instantly felt bad and put my stuff down carefully not to wake him.

They had told me he was on a lot of pain medication so he was out cold.

I walked over to him and seen how pale he was. In the small light from the outside. I felt so bad.
