Bella's pov

Ever since then the next day Marco hooked me up with his number and we started talking.

Like 2 weeks later on me and joão made plans to hang out but we needed to go pick his dog up from daycare first and I agreed because who doesn't love dogs.

I seen a black Mercedes 2021 AMG GLE 53 and left my house in a simple pair of grey Nike sweats and a dark red shirt merch from my highschool.

When I got in his car he turned the Kanye west song playing at a decent level down.

"Hey princess, ready to come pick up my little devil?" He asked and I nodded with a smile.

"I love dogs! What breed is your dog?" I asked him with excitement in my eyes.

"He's a smooth miniature Dachshund," he answered and he turned into Starbucks.

"Why are we at Starbucks? I asked as he got behind the Cadillac Escalade infront of us in line.

"Marco said it's your favorite, he already told me your order. Can I get you any food from the menu?" He asked as he pulled up a bit more.

"A cake pop?"

He laughed softly before nodding his head looking out the window.

"What's so funny? Cake pops are so yummy I love them they are just a little expensive" I said.

"It's just- everyone who ever gets cake pops are kids.." he pulled up to the window and I playfully rolled my eyes.

After joão ordered he looked at me for a quick second then back infront of us.

"So you asked Marco my order? Why?" I furrowed my eyebrows at him.

"Well I just wanted to do something nice in return since your coming to pick my dog up with me, nothing creepy" he answered.

"Mmm sure. Well thanks anyways I love Starbucks" I said and I got a soft smile from him.

"Yeah I take you as a Starbucks Girl, I always just drink coffee at home." He said as he pulled up and the man opened the window.

João handed him his card then got it handed back with our drinks and my cake pop.

"Your cake pop, princess." He said as he handed it to me.

After that he drove into the parking lot and reached down for his drink in the cup holder.

"Black coffee? Are you crazy?! Why no creamer?" I asked as I put the straw in my drink.

"It's better this way. Creamer makes it too sweet for me. Just like that sugar filled drink you got." He said as he blew threw the mouth part softly.

"Uhm excuse me! This drink is perfectly fine. Your drink is so bitter and hot your gonna burn your tongue." I said in a tone with sass.

"Whatever princess," he rolled his eyes playfully and I smiled at him.

"Don't we need to go get your dog?" I asked in a worried tone as I checked the time.

"I got you a bit early because I wanted to get you Starbucks but now's a good time. Can I start driving again?" He asked as he ran his hand over my thigh.

I nodded and put my drink back in the cup holder and he started driving again.

15 minutes later we got to the nice clean looking foggy daycare and joão opened the door for me.

We went inside and there was a nice mid 30s blonde behind the counter typing on the computer.

"Hi which dog are you here for?" She asked as she looked at the list.
