(Out in the middle of the desert, Kai, Amethyst, and Dareth are walking exhaustedly while excessively sweating. Zane walks right past them without even breaking a sweat.)
Dareth: So ... you're not ... thirsty at all?
Zane: No. Being a Nindroid is not without benefits.
Dareth: I wish I were a Nindroid.
(As the quartet walks over a sand dune, Amethyst spots a van driving by on the road down below.)
Amethyst: Guys, look! There's a van! (She points to it and Kai immediately goes chasing after it.)
Kai: Hey. Hey! Hey wait! Wait wait wait! Stop, stop please! Help! Help!
(The van stops and reverses to the ninja. Zane cloaks himself into his human form with his cloaking hologram. Once the van stops it rolls down the windows to reveal a girl with pink hair tied in pigtails.)
Girl: Hi, guys! Whatchu doing way out here?
Kai: We were, uh, camping. And we got a little lost.
Amethyst: Everything we have got blown away in a sandstorm. So now we have no supplies.
Girl: Ah. How come you're dressed up like the ninja?
Dareth: We were, uh, costume camping. It's a thing. Lots of people are doing it. Out here in the desert, you probably haven't heard of it. Anyway, yeah, we could really use a ride.
Sally: Sure! Hop in.
Kai: Thanks.
Amethyst : We're glad you showed up.
(They board the van. Sally turns on the radio, and some music begins to play. They cruise in the van while listening to the song.)
Dareth: So, you don't recognize these guys?
Sally: No, why? Should I?
Kai: He's just joking. Hehahaha. (He nudges Dareth to tell him to stop.) Uh, so, are you moving or something, Sally? (He sees her name on a tag on a guitar case.)
Sally: Yep! All the way to Ninjago City! I'm gonna be a singer. I'm gonna be like, on the radio, and TV, and in concerts and stuff.
Zane: Is this one of your songs?
Sally: It sure is! (She turns the volume up.) What do you think?
Radio: "Dig deep inside, and you will feel: an inner strength, an inner steel."(Kai is vibing to the song while Zane notices the lyrics.)
Dareth: Wow. You wrote that? That's great!
Kai: You've got a real talent.
Sally: Thanks!
Zane: But humans are not made of steel.
Sally: (She turns the volume down.) Of course not, silly! It's a song, to make people feel better!
Amethyst: Sorry, about our friend. He can be quite literal. He doesn't understand metaphors often.
Sally: Songs can help people come together and find their way. That's what I want my music to do.
Zane: That is a worthy cause.
Kai: Yeah! It's great, Sally.
Sally: Oh, you guys are sweet.
