(In Ninjago City, Kai and Cole race through the streets to Coral's rescue when a Dragonide picks up Kai's vehicle.)
Cole: I didn't know your vehicle could fly!
Kai: It can't! It can't!
Cole: Kai, blast them off!
(The Dragonide drops Kai's vehicle on top of Cole's vehicle. The two scream as they crash into the side of a building. Kai wakes up to find himself upside down and the city covered in crystals.)
Kai: What? Where am I? Cole? Cole! Cole, can you hear me? (When Cole doesn't respond, he frees himself.) Ouch! (He attempts to free Cole when suddenly a voice is heard in the distance.)
Voice: (To the Vengestone Warriors) You six go that way! The rest of you, that way! Search the streets!
Kai: I know that voice. (He looks behind a car and sees Pythor leading a group of Vengestone Warriors in a search for the ninja.)
Pythor: Find the ninja! The Crystal King commands it!
Kai: Come on. Come on! Wake up, Cole. Buddy, not a good time for a beauty nap! (He lifts up Cole's cockpit and Cole is in a daze.)
Cole: What happened? Did we win? (When Kai lifts him out of his vehicle he falls on top of him.)
Kai: Not exactly. (He picks the dazed Cole up and carries him into an alley.)
(As they make there escape, Pythor finds the wreckage of their vehicles.)
Pythor: Jackpot! Finally! (He approaches the wreckage, but finds the ninja are missing.) Where are they?
(As Kai carries Cole into the alley, Pythor uses his tongue to sniff them out.)
Pythor: Ah, they're close. I can taste them! (He heads down the alley Kai and Cole are in and speaks in a singsong voice) Oh ninja! Where are you?
(Kai and Cole are hiding behind a dumpster when Cole, still in a daze, calls out to Pythor.)
Cole: (Still in a daze.) We're over here!
(Kai pushes Cole's head down trying to get him to be quiet.)
Kai: Shh. Are you nuts?!
(Pythor hears Cole and starts approaching the dumpster, Cole and Kai are hiding behind.)
Pythor: (Singsong voice.) Come out, come out, wherever you are!
Kai: Cole. Cole, snap out of it! I could really use your help here!
Pythor: Found you.
(Kai sets Cole down, kicks away the dumpster, and tries to blast fire at Pythor, but Pythor blocks Kai's fire attack by spinning his Nunchucks of Destruction.)
Pythor: Oopsie. Didn't work! If only your friend were awake. Perhaps, together, the two of you might have had a fighting chance.
Female Voice: Let's find out!
(Kai and Pythor look up to see Skylor standing on top of a building. She then jumps down to their level.)
Kai: Skylor? How did you —
Skylor: Hiya, hot shot. (She touches Kai and Cole and absorbs and replicates their powers.)
