"You ready?" Richie asks when Becky opens the door.

"Yes," Becky replies, letting Richie and Nam inside. "We didn't want to wake Lyra. She's still asleep."

"And where's Freen?" Nam asks.

Becky sighs heavily and leans back against the door. "In the living room."

"What's wrong?"

Becky crosses her arms over her chest as they walk toward the living room. "She hasn't said a word to me since Heng called."

An understanding look crosses their faces as they feel sorry for both of them. They didn’t deserve to be apart just after getting back together.

"Freen?" Nam calls, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Freen looks up with tears in her eyes. She was so lost in thought that she didn't notice them coming in. "You're here?" Shock and pain fill her voice.

"There's no time. Becky has to go," Richie says. "Are you okay?"

"NO!" Freen stands up, her voice almost a growl. "I'm not OKAY! I just got her back." Tears threaten to fall from her eyes.

Becky closes her eyes and sighs, taking a deep breath. She doesn't dare say anything.

"Freen, please try to understand," Richie pleads, softening his gaze.

"I can't." Freen shakes her head frantically. "She's not going anywhere without me."

"That's not possible, Freen. You're pregnant. You can't take that risk."

Freen clenches her jaw and glares at him. "Do you think I’ll be fine sitting here not knowing where she is or what she's doing? Do you think I’ll be safe then? That I won't worry about her?" she argues.

"Becky, please tell her," Richie says, turning to her.

Becky shifts her gaze away from him to Freen. Her expression softens as she offers a tender smile and a nod. "I think she's right."

"What?"

She walks toward Freen and stands beside her. "Neither of us will be fine being apart, especially now. So isn't it better if we all leave together?" Freen immediately intertwines their hands, a grateful smile lighting up her face.

"All of us?" Nam questions.

Becky nods. She kisses Freen's temple and gently pulls her into her arms until Freen's cheek rests against her shoulder.

Freen breathes contentedly before pulling back with a smile. "I'll wake Lyra up."

"Are you sure about this?" Richie asks once Freen is out of sight.

Becky shuts her eyes tight and lets out a deep sigh. "All I know is that I’ll be fine as long as I’m sure Freen and the baby are alright. I don’t want to stress her out leading into something worse."

"She's right," Nam agrees.

"Where are we going?" Becky finally makes eye contact.

"To Pattaya. As long as Heng is the chief, he will keep the cops off your back there," Richie replies.

"So it's a homecoming?" Becky chuckles dryly.

Another slap echoes through the walls, though he doubts anyone else heard it.

"I did what you asked," Billy yells as he spits out blood. "I told them Saint committed suicide. Isn't that what you wanted?"

Sunny looks down at him with a frown. "Not anymore."

He yanks Billy's chin up roughly. "You and your best friend Saint ruined everything I built. You started this. Now his mistress, someone I treated like my own daughter, is trying to bring me down. I won't stop until I get what I want." He spits out the last part through his teeth before putting on his vile smile.

"And you will pay for everything just like Saint did." His voice is calm, but something sinister lies beneath.

Billy bites back the pain. "What are you going to do?"

Sunny doesn’t move for a moment, but then he smiles and starts laughing, shaking his head like a madman. "She thinks she is running away to safety, but she’s not. I know when the walls close in, she will come back here, to her safe haven. But I will be waiting. I have her right where I wanted her."
