''Bad Habit.'' said Mr. Sato as he set Kenji's coffee down. Y/n smiled as she started to get up, but Kenji's hand on her knee stopped her. 'Please stay' he mouthed making her roll her eyes and sit back down.

''I'd say we did pretty well considering the circumstances.'' Mr.Sato added.

''Dad, I... I really appreciate you showing up, I do. But this doesn't make you Ultradad. You know, we're not suddenly gonna be best pals.'' Kenji said, making Y/n want to slap the back of his head but she refrained from it.

Mr.Sato only sighed before adding. ''Kenki, I need to show you something. Mina, news, please. '' Mina turned on the tv and Dr. Onda was on the news, Y/n sighed annoyed knowing why he was.

'Fortunately, the KDF was able to contain the damage and no one was harmed. But the kaiju escaped and it would appear that Ultraman is actually defending the beast. The KDF are conducting a massive search for both the creature and Ultraman. We will protect the families of this city. We will get to the bottom of this and we will eliminate the threat.' the tv turned off.

''Kenji, I've been tracking Onda. And until now he's been content on just killing whatever kaiju attack the city. But something's changed. He wasn't trying to kill the baby. He wanted her alive. I've known Onda for a long time. He is brilliant. He is cunning. And he will never stop, not until she's captured and you're dead.''

All three of them looked at the baby who was starting to wake up, Mina singing to her. ''You and I don't have to be best pals. But can we at least agree that she is the priority?''

''Yes. She is.'' Kenji agreed, nodding to his father.

''Okay, good. Do you have a plan?''

''We thought returning the baby to her natural habitat would be best Professor Sato.'' said Mina, joining them. ''But the location of Kaiju Island remains elusive.''

''Even if we could find it, without a mother to defend her, the baby might starve, drown, die of hypothermia. Another kaiju could eat her as a snack–'' Mr.Sato said starting to get heated.

''I got it. I got it. '' said Kenji calming him down.

''We have to raise her the way her mother would have. '' He said before turning to look at her.

''So you're suggesting that you and I, Ultraman...uh Ultramen, guys who are supposed to fight these things, should train this baby to essentially kick our butts?'' Kenji asked, both of them staring at her.

''Kenji, she needs us.'' Mr.Sato said before yawning. ''Well, it's been a long day, and we need to rest in order to take this job on. Goodnight kids. Don't stay up too late.''

''Um, dad.'' said Kenji before he left.

''You know where your room is right?''

Mr.Sato smiled as he nodded and left towards the elevator.

''Couldn't you talk to him?'' asked Kenji softly as soon as his father had left.

''I would love nothing more than to have a good relationship with him. Y/n said. ''But, he's obsessed, Kenji. We both lost someone important that night, yet he acts like I didn't, like he is the only one suffering. You have no idea how many times he has asked me to join him and the KDF. I kept saying no because, well. I enjoy working with you. As annoying as you tend to be.'' she joked, chuckling and making him smile too. His eyes slowly looked over her. She looked tired, and the two bandages were now starting to become red.

''You've moved too much.'' he said getting closer to her, slightly touching them. ''You're bleeding.''

''I'm not an expert on first aid Kenji.'' she said, chuckling.

''Lucky for you I am.'' he smiled as he grabbed the nearest first aid kit, carefully taking off her bandages, cringing and feeling more guilty each time she whimpered whenever he cleaned them. He should have been there. He kept thinking.

''It's fine Kenji.'' she said softly rubbing his face. ''It was an accident. And I already bought myself expensive creams and a haircut from your card.'' she added touching her hair. Kenji shook his head as she chuckled as well.

She loved the length of it, unfortunately I'd have to go shorter now, since the ends were burned. ''Sorry about that as well. I know how much you love your hair.'' he said getting up.

''I love that baby more. Come on now. I think we all need a good night's rest.'' she said slowly getting up and going out of the room.

''I sense your high heartbeats Kenji. I recommend telling her you li-''

''Shut up Mina.'' Kenji said before leaving the room as well.

So my little nerds, I'm sorry for the wait. Job and university is kicking my butt, Does anyone know how to study? because I def don't. I was the best in my class up to 6th grade and now I'm barely alive.

Anyways new chapter. all new ones will be around this long. I realized I'm halfway through the movie and barely 6 chapters in. I want/need at least 10, otherwise my fanfic will look incomplete. THX FOR READING

I already decided on my next fanfic btw, I promise I wont wait 2 years before making a new one.
