''I thought it would be good for all of us to get out of the house.'' Said Mr.Sato as they all walked out of the ship. The view that greeted them was breathtaking, specially with the setting sun.
''It's exactly the same.'' said Kenji as they all enjoyed the view, Emi soon joined them.
''Haven't been here in weeks.'' Said Professor Sato later as he opened the sliding door to the house. Y/n deciding to stay behind to play with Emi and let them both have a private time. She smiled as she ran, or did the best to run away from her.
''Ha ha! I caught you!'' screamed Y/n to Emi as she chirped before running after Y/n herself. Her screams and cheers caught the attention of Kenji and Professor Sato. Kenji smiled fondly at the sight of a very tired Y/n trying her best to escape from the giant baby.
Professor Sato siled knowingly. ''You like her.'' he commented surprising Kenji.
''W-what? Pfft, no? What? I-I don't-'' he tried to play it off but one he sighed as he saw the smug look his father gave him. ''Is it that obvious?''
''Not really. But I do want grandchildren one day Kenji, not the Kaiju type next time.''
''Dad!'' Kenji yelled, embarrassed. A knock on the floor distracted them though.
''Emi got bored of chasing.'' Y/n said, still panting from having to run.
Kenji smiled, glad she didn't seem to have listened to them and looked at his dad. ''Wanna play?''
-
''And it's a grand slam!'' Kenji whoops at Emi's throw. ''The crowd goes wild.''
''That's the way Emi!'' cheers Professor Sato from the fire. Y/n clapping alongside him on the chair next to him.
''It's okay. You guys can just keep playing.'' Kenji said as he joined them, handing each a drink as he did.
'Emi I can't believe how far you hit that.'' Mina said, Emi giggling in response.
''You did a very good thing, Kenji.'' Said Professor Sato.
''We did a good thing, Dad, Y/n. I couldn't have done this without you both.'' Y/n felt herself blush at the praise.
Kenji gave one look to Y/n and she understood. Smiling she ruffled his hair as she stood up to let them talk.
''Dad? Did you ever worry that your power wasn't enough? That you couldn't protect us?'' Kenji asked after a second of silence.
Professor Sato sighing before answering. ''Every single day. WhenI went into battle, I never knew what would happen. Whether I'd live or die, whether I could keep you and your mother safe.'' He sighed before continuing. I know it wasn't easy, Kenji, moving away, building a new life. And now this. I'm so sorry.''
Kenji chuckled softly. It's actually kind of cool turning into a giant superhero. It's just, uh. I'm... I'm not very good at it.''
''Do you remember Gomora?'' Asked Professor Sato.
''Oh, yeah. Big horns, short temper?''
''Yes.''
''Well one night just after you were born, your mother and I were making curry. We're about to eat when the call comes in. "Gomora is attacking Shirokanedai!" I look across the table at your mother and say, "Wouldn't it be a shame if I die tonight and never get to enjoy this curry?" She smiled at me and said, "If you die, I'll be heartbroken." "I'll grieve for weeks."
"But I promise this curry will not go to waste."
All three of them laugh.
''Oh, That sounds just like her.'' Said Kenji rubbing his eyes.
