NEXT DAY

''Come on. Stand up. We have to measure you.'' Professor Sato said gently to the baby.

''And analyze your entire genetic makeup.'' added Mina. They were clearly trying to make her do it as gently as they could, but the baby simply looked wary of them. Y/n stood to the side as she drank her coffee. Still half awake as she sipped on it slowly. Soon Kenji joined them yawning as he walked up to them.

''What are you doing?'' he asked.

''We need to examine her so that we can plan a training regimen to protect Emi from predators'' Professor Sato answer.

''Emi? But, uh, wait. You named her after Mom?''

''I think she would approve. Okay now, Emi. Stand up nice and tall.'' Professor Sato said as he waved the toy in his hand.

To both Y/n's and Kenji's surprise she did. ''My God, my dad is a kaiju whisperer.'' Kenji added.

''Mina, prepare to insert the micro tracking device.'' Professor Sato said. ''Emi, can you do like Bunny?'' he said as he extended the doll's arm, Emi followed and staying put as Mina inserted the device.

''Good girl.'' praised Mina.

''Mina, treat, please. And before we eat, we always say, 'Itadakimasu!'' Professor Sato said as he bowed. Y/n chuckled at Emi's puzzled expression but it quickly dropped when she noticed her burp, so she took a few steps back to avoid anything Emi might do.

''Uh, I think she is not feeling well.'' said Y/n noticing the Emi's mouth

''Professor Sato, I believe that Emi is experiencing a bit of nausea from the medicine.'' said Mina. Y/n grabbed Kenji's arm and dragged him to the side with her.

''Uh, dad, step away. Seriously. '' Kenji advanced.

''Professor Sato, I would do as Kenji said and move. You never know what she might just throw out.'' Y/n added as she shivered from bad past experiences, puke and lasers were already thrown at her, she wasn't keen on washing the former out of her hair, or losing it from the later.

''Oh, she's fine. Itadaki–'' Professor Sato began but Emi puked right into him, throwing him far away into the wall behind from the force. ''Masu'' he finished making Y/n chuckle.

''CUE MONTAGE - AGAIN''

''GET BACK HERE RIGHT NOW, MISSY!'' Kenji yelled as Emi escaped from him.

He then missed a ball while playing.

-That's another loss for the Giants, making it a six in a row.-

Kenji sat in the bathroom as he read the newspaper with the title, 'Sato in the dumps'.

Y/n opened the door dressed only in a towel ready for a bath not noticing Kenji already sat down. She yelled, Kenji covered himself as she ran away.

''SORRY!'' She yelled through the door, fanning her face as she could feel the embarrassment make it red. Kenji did the same, not having a lot of time to calm down when Emi suddenly opened the door, he closed it, annoyed, but his dad soon walked in only in a towel ready for a bath, making Kenji sigh.

Kenji put floaties on Emi as Y/n finished drawing on the board the instructions for Professor Sato to read to Emi, although she doubted it would work, Emi couldn't exactly read.

After the explanation Y/n and Professor Sato saw how Emi simply sinked to the bottom of the sea as her floaties detached from her arms, Kenji swimming after her.

Y/n was laughing when she saw the big treadmill that Kenji had to run on in front of Emi to train her. Kenji was still awake late as he read more on parenting books.

He continued training her with the bat and baseball, and Y/n smiled when she saw him do the same to other members of his team. After a while Y/n cheered the loudest as she finally saw him back into his game as he kept hitting the ball, the whole stadium cheering as well.

Swimming lessons improved, as Emi no longer sank but could swim faster after fish. Teaching her through simulations to beat the flying planes. Her aim became perfect as she destroyed them all with her laser.

Kenji kept helping his teammates, and it helped them all since the Giants kept climbing with their score.

-Climbing back into contention, The Giants are now just one game out of first place.-

-Ami; The Giants are really coming together, thanks to a more mature Ken Sato.-

-''we'RE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS!! Sato's Homerun clinches a playoff spot for the Giants. I have never seen a turnaround quite like it.- the commentator said

-I don't know what's happening with Sato, but something has changed for the better. Not only is he shining on the field, but her has brought his team together.''

Y/n ran up to him jumping into a hug to congratulate them. Kenji smiled as he picked her up, surprised but he wouldn't let her fall. He looked up at her and Y/n down at him and noticed how close their faces were. Both could feel their faces warm up at the closeness. And slowly they were inching closer and closer, their eyes slowly closing as Y/n leaned her head to the side- A call interrupted the moment, making them both jump surprised. Kenji set her down as she sheepishly looked at her phone. Kenji rubbed the back of his head embarrassed and annoyed when the moment was interrupted.

Later that day they went on a flying. Well Kenji and Emi did, Y/n help onto dear life to Emi's tail, her legs wrapped around it as she tried to grab Mr.Sato with her free hand.

That night she smiled sweetly at the scene of the piled mountain sleeping.

She slowly made her way up towards Emi's head and laid down with them. Feeling bold she quickly gave Kenji a kiss on what would be his nose before turning around, embarrassed she did, to sleep. What she didn't know was that he was awake, glad his mask covered his very clearly red face, and that she probably couldn't hear his heartbeat like crazy.

I'm so sorry for the delay of like a month. But uni was kicking my ass. And I somehow caught a virus that made me want to die, stomach ache and puking, heck yeah. So kinda short but oh well. I swear I'll try by next week to publish the next chapter.  TYSM FOR READING
