It's not that I condone torture or murder – okay maybe I do, depending on who – but there was something so exhilarating and fascinating watching a person who knew what they were doing so well they can make torture appear like art.

"Wrong answer."

Another finger hacked off.

Another gruelling scream.

Once Hanzo exclaimed to surrender, I was certain he would spill everything that we needed to know but the man was tougher than I gave credit for. If he had been just as loyal to the Sakurazuki organization as he did for whatever and whoever he was devoted to, he would have been a valued member.

Pity he chose the wrong side.

Sakurazuki-gumi was patient. But they were not merciful.

Hanzo gasped every breath; his chest rose high and fell deep as though he was never able to breathe in as much as his body wanted. The smell of his sweat and blood permeated this stifling cellar room close to a construction site that was soon to operate to construct a new business high rise building.

Ironic to think that the corpses of old-fashioned minded people were going to become a foundational layer for a building created to nurture and employee modern, forward minded people.

"It's a pity. I thought we both came to a conclusion together." Kaito drawled pacing between Hanzo and Katsu. Daisuke was thrown into a cellar of his own with Ryo to keep him company. I would have asked what they were doing, or rather what Ryo was intended on doing to him, but I kept my mouth shut – I wasn't quite certain whether I wanted to know.

"There . . . t-there would be n-no point." Hanzo heaved from his seat. Strapped securely onto a wooden chair, each of his legs were bounded onto the front to legs of the chair, digging raw into in his flesh while his arms were bounded on each arm rest. In the past hour, he has lost three fingers: two pinkies and his right thumb.

"Perhaps not for you, but I am sure you are intelligent enough to know that your admission can assist other people as well as doing yourself a favor." Kaito turned his attention onto Katsu who sat opposite Hanzo. "Don't you agree?"

Katsu swallowed hard but said nothing – actually he couldn't say a word given that his mouth was sealed shut with masking tape. His nose flared with each exhale, his chest rising quicker than what could count has regular or normal but there was a pleasure in watching people who deserve suffering, suffer. No hard feelings for them but I needed this release. Call it another bad habit – and a terrible personality and shit morals – but fuck it, I already had plenty of those. One more couldn't hurt.

"Slow progress?"

I flinch like I had been the one with the hacked off fingers and I could have sworn that my neck muscle pulled out on itself from how fast I snapped to look behind. But there he was, donning on another perfectly clean, pristine suit, arms crossed and blocking the doorway.
