Life in summer

Should I wear a skirt or a jeans ? I think I'll go with the jeans since it's for diner. 

It is seven pm and I have thirty minutes to get dressed. My make up is done, my hair don't need anything special i will keep them down since they have a little more waves after washing them. 

Marta and I are supposed to meet at the tube station to go to the diner Madeline planned to meet the others and I still haven't figured out what to wear.

"Kushi, we have come to say goodnight" 

" Aww goodnight Aliya and goodnight Noa"

Living with a host family has been  quite interesting. I was having the whole culture exchange experience, I was loving it. I had some duties, like empty thee dish washer in the mornight, help with the online grocery shopping, babysitting for 3 nights per week and teach french to the children and give a small amount of rent, which I thought was fair. The parents made me feel at home since day one, to the point that I feel like i'm part of the family. 

Aliya and Noa have a five year gap, Alyia is 10 and Noa 5, they are the opposite of each other, she likes to talk a lot and he is the calm one but together, they could great chaos. 

Every night, these two children come to my room to wish me goodnight with a kiss and a hug. They are the cutess children I have ever met.

" Great choice guys, the food was amazing, and the ambiance of this restaurant was great."

" It was Vijay choice, Marta" 

" Well thank you Vijay, and it was nice to meet both, you and Lou. I'll see you guys on Monday. Bye"

Marta was leaving, she had to go to her to look after her host familly's children in the morning so she couldn't stay.

" Who wants to go the bar right across the street ?" 

We had a lovly diner in this Spanish restaurant. We ordered a big sharing paella with red wine, we got to know more about Vijay and Lou.

Vijay, is a british punjabi who has been all his life in London. He is 24, and wants to be a musician but chose to study economy because of his parents. He has been an assitante for 2 years know and has been friends with Lou since fisrt year of University, which explained their friendship. 

Lou is a taiwanese, who came here five years ago to stay away from his Family and since have not gone back and have no intention to. His dream has two dream, one to marry the most beautifull girl in the world, the problem here is that he find almost every woman beautifull and if he gets rejected his takes it the wrong way,  and the second to not work too hard so he can enjoy his dad's money.

I looked at Dina, her anwser was going to let me decide if I stay or not but to my surprise she asked me.

" Kushi, what do you think ?" 

" I don't mind it, we can go "

At the bar Dina, Madeleine and Lou arguing was the most entertaining thing I have witness so far.

The two women where explaining to a full grown man that women do not necessarily dress up for men but for Lou, it was  different. Let's just say, that he grew up in a male dominated family. You could just keep arguing with him but he would never think he is wrong . Which made me really wonder how was Madeleine able to have convasations with him this whole time.

While Marta noticed the whole night that Vijay was the one might have a crush on but we weren't sure, her behaviour towards him was a bit different than how she was with Lou.

Finally finding peace after we left the bar, Vijay and I were headed to the same direction so we started walking together towards the tube station while Madeleine and Dina shared a taxi and Lou took a separate one. 

" Well I guess I'll see you on Monday" 

" Right, you go the opposide direction. I'll see you monday"

" Yes just a couple of stops and I'm at my host family's. Now that I think about it, we didn't even get a chance to talk this evening even though we sat opposite each other. We should have coffee sometime." 

The alchool was  speaking and I realised, I just made a fool of myself in front of my co woker.

Being tipsy definitely makes me say things I would regret and now I will be embarrassed at work.

" We should do that. What about Monday ? We could go to the coffee shop close to University at our lunch break time ? 

I didn't think that would have been his answer.

I had to make sure by looking at him that he was not joking.

He had the most adorable smile and a hit of embarrassement while running his fingers through his hair.
