I'm still trying to decide where to go with this story. I enjoy writing but I'm not the best at it. lol. I hope this makes sense, I haven't really read through it yet. Comment and Vote! :)

Scott watched as the interior designer ordered her minions around. “No, put that there!” Seemed to be her favorite phrase. When she finally came to the green vase she had rearranged the room about twenty times.
“What is this?” She asked in her phony accent as she swung it around wildly.
“It’s a vase.” Scott said. He could see her accidentally swinging the expensive item into the fireplace on accident, or on purpose, and shattering it into a million pieces. He was pretty sure the store had a no return policy.
“It doesn’t match this room.” The woman exasperatingly exclaimed.
Scott’s heart jumped at the thought of going back to the antique shop. Maybe the annoying teenager would be gone and he’d finally have his chance with the girl. “I’ll see if the store will exchange it for me.” He said as he casually took the vase from the woman. Normally he’d flirt with her but she was too picky and Scott felt she’d start to judge his actions a bit too harshly.
“You need something blue…dark blue, and white.” The woman said as she turned to her minions to pile on more orders. For once in his life Scott was actually happy to leave the presents of a beautiful woman.

Kayla saw the man who had been in earlier before entered the store. She rolled her eyes and watched as he glanced around the store before he spotted her thumbing through some books. “Can I help you?” Kayla asked in an off tone. She didn’t want him to think she was friendly.
“The item you picked out seems to be the wrong color for the room.” The man sheepishly admitted.
“There are no returns.” Kayla enforced. She wasn’t about to let him have his way this time. The man looked at the vase awkwardly in his hands. Kayla couldn’t help but notices the clothes he was wearing. She had very little fashion sense but she could tell the clothes were quite expensive.
“Well.” The man said and then he paused probably for a dramatic effect which seemed rather lame to Kayla.
“Well….” Kayla probed.
“I was thinking, I have no use for this vase, so how about I donate the vase to you and buy an item that will match the room.” The man seemed to glow with pride as he said the words. Kayla could see through the act and wasn’t impressed.
“That’s nice of you.” She replied. Her heart fluttered against her chest when he smiled and nodded in the general direction of the store.
“Maybe we can go through the store together and you could help me pick out something.” He offered.
Kayla was thrown off guard by the man’s offer. Together? Did he really think she wanted to stand next to him for that long? Deep down inside Kayla tried to push back the feeling that she did want to stand next to him.
“I’m busy.” She said coldly.
The man shrugged and set the vase on the counter by the cash register. He then disappeared somewhere behind the rows of shelves that held several different antiques. Kayla watched him from the corner of her eye as he rummaged. Why was it that she felt so attracted to this man she hardly knew?
