Kyojuro Rengoku approached Y/N with his usual bright smile, his eyes full of pride and excitement. "Y/N, you should visit Master Ubuyashiki. You've defeated two Lower Moons, and it's time for you to be promoted to Hashira."Y/N sweatdropped, feeling a mix of anxiety and disbelief. "I-I don't think I'm ready for that, Kyojuro..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Obanai Iguro appeared out of nowhere, scooping her up effortlessly. "No time for arguments," he said, his voice firm but not unkind. With swift and agile movements, he ran towards the Ubuyashiki mansion, carrying Y/N in his arms.
As they approached the mansion, the serene atmosphere of the place seemed to calm Y/N's racing heart. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, their petals gently falling like snowflakes. The sound of a nearby stream added to the tranquility.
Upon arriving at the mansion, they were greeted by the young Ubuyashiki twins, Kanata and Kiriya. One of The twins, with their calm and composed demeanor, seemed to have an air of wisdom beyond their years.
"We request to speak to Master Ubuyashiki," Kyojuro said respectfully, bowing his head.
The twins exchanged knowing glances. "We already knew you were coming," Kanata said with a gentle smile. "Master Ubuyashiki has been expecting you."
As they opened the gate to the mansion, Kiriya turned to Kyojuro and Obanai, one at a time. "Please wait here," he said. Both Hashira hid their frowns and bowed respectfully, understanding the gravity of the situation.
Inside the mansion, Y/N was led to a room where Master Ubuyashiki sat, his presence both comforting and commanding. She couldn't help but notice the purple disease spreading across his forehead, one eye blind, and the other about to lose sight. The sight filled her with a deep sense of sorrow and respect.
She immediately bowed deeply and greeted him, "Great to see you in good health, Master Ubuyashiki."
Ubuyashiki smiled warmly, his voice gentle and soothing. "Please, sit and have some tea," he offered, gesturing to a beautifully crafted tea set on a low table. "How is the weather today?"
"It's going okay," Y/N replied, trying to keep her voice steady as she took a seat and accepted the tea.
Ubuyashiki's expression turned serious, his eyes filled with a mix of determination and sadness. "Y/N, I want you to become a Hashira."
Y/N respectfully declined, bowing her head. "I don't deserve such a role, Master."
Ubuyashiki's eyes softened, and he let out a small sigh. "If only I could see you as my Moon Hashira before I permanently lose my sight," he said, his voice filled with longing and a hint of desperation.
Y/N frowned, feeling the weight of his words and the responsibility he was placing on her shoulders. "I'll think about it," she said quietly, her voice barely above a whisper. She bowed deeply before leaving the room, Not before finishing her tea though. her mind swirling with thoughts and emotions.
Outside, Kyojuro and Obanai immediately approached her, their expressions filled with concern and curiosity. "Do you have good news?" Kyojuro asked eagerly, his eyes searching hers for any hint of an answer.
Y/N smiled weakly, trying to mask her inner turmoil. "Maybe," she replied, her voice trailing off as she glanced back at the mansion, her mind still processing the conversation with Master Ubuyashiki.
Kyojuro's eyes softened, and he placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "It's okay to feel uncertain, Y/N. Becoming a Hashira is a great responsibility, and it's important to take your time to make the right decision."
