Y/N set down her wooden sword and dusted her kimono before heading inside the estate. She smiled when she saw her two freinds fixing up something to eat.
"Good morning kyojuro! Morning Obanai!"Y/N said as she removed her sandals and placed them aside.
"Morning?.. y/n its the afternoon!"kyojuro said while placing clean dishes on the dining table.
"You've been training non-stop y/n.. i think you should take a break.."obanai said while putting a hand on her shoulder.
"Yeah!.."kyojuro said agreement.
No way..its actually afternoon? I could've sworn it was just 5 am..
"Okay, i guess i can take a break for a few hours.."she said while taking a seat.
"Good, I'm just making sure you're taking care of yourself!"he said as he too sat down, Obanai following him right after.
"Senjuro! Lunch is served!"kyojuro yelled out.
"Senjuro?.. ah, that must be your little brother right!"y/n said interested in learning more about senjuro.
"I've always wanted a little sibling.. you must be sooo lucky!"(🤨)
Y/N turned around to the sound of tiny footsteps approaching them, her eyes widened as she squealed.
"Gahhh! Your sooo cuteee!"y/n said as she ran over to senjuro, bringing him to a tight embrace.
"Hah?.."was all senjuro said as he looked up at y/n.
"Hello there little one!"y/n said as she pat his head. Kyojuro and obanai looking at senjuro in envy.
"Senjuro," Kyojuro started, breaking their embrace.
"Is father home?.."kyojuro asked.
"Uh, no.. father's on a mission.."senjuro said while taking a seat.
"I'll save this food for him then." Kyojuro said as he covered his father's portion and took a bite out of his food.
"UMAI!"kyojuro shouted.
"UMAI!"
"UMAI!"
"Hey, what's with the "umai"?.."y/n whispered to senjuro.
"Big brother says that when warriors eat food, they savor it because they dont know if it would be their last meal!"senjuro said as he eyed his brother and smiled.
"Ah, that's a cool fact!"she took a bite of her food and copied kyojuro.
"uMaI!"she said as she giggled.
Kyojuro then picked up and bowl full of miso soup.
"Im gonna take this to mother, wanna come too y/n?.."kyojuro said as got off his seat.
Not even gonna ask me? Wow. You better not kidnap y/n-chan. Obanai thought.
"Ya, sure!"she got up and followed kyojuro to the room at the end of the hallway and knocked twice.
"Mother, may i come in please?"kyojuro said with his hands on the shoji door.
"Come in."the woman said.
"Mother, i made lunch, care for some?"kyojuro said as he held up the bowl for her.
The woman smiled as she took the bowl from his hands.
"Thank you, kyojuro.."her attention turned to y/n.
"Ah, is this y/n?"the woman started,
"Kyojuro's told me so much about you, your as beautiful as he described.."she chuckled.
"M-mom!"kyojuro said in embarrassment, failing to hide his already growing blush.
Y/N eyed kyojuro before giggling.
"Oh really now?"Y/N said as she smirked playfully.
"I've got my beauty from my mommah!"she said with her hands on her hips, speaking proudly.
"My name is Ruka Rengoku, please just prefer me as ruka."she said, her hands on her chest.
"Miss ruka you are very beautiful!"y/n blurted out.
"Thank you, miss y/n.."she chuckled silently, her gaze still on y/n.
"Ah, please excuse me!"y/n bowed and exited out the room.
"You were right, she is pretty really pretty.. don't lose her, alright?"Ruka said, her as she looked at y/n exit through the shoji door.
"Y-yes ma'am!"kyojuro said as he blushed and looked down.
"I-I'll get stronger and protect her! I wont let you down!"he lifted his head and looked at ruka with determination.
"Of course you will.."She said, as she looked out the windows, kyojuro exiting the room after their little talk.

"He gets louder everytime.."obanai mumbled as he eyed kyojuro in slight annoyance.
Y/N giggles and finishes the rest of her food.
"I'll be training if you guys need me!"y/n said while putting her dishes in the sink. Then put on her sandals and went to the backyard.
"I'm gonna go train with her."obanai said as he put away his dish and headed to where y/n was training at.
"Alright then, lets join them, shall we senjuro?!"kyojuro said as he looked at his younger sibling.
"But.. onii-san i thought you were done training for today?.."senjuro questioned, as he looked up at his brother in confusion.
"Well i changed my mind, c'mon!"kyojuro said as he dragged senjuro to the backyard, straight to y/n.
"Ah, kyojuro! What're you doing here?.."she said as she lowered her wooden sword to the ground.
"Yeah, what're you doing here. Didn't you already finish your training for today?.."obanai said bluntly.
"That's what i sai-"
"I feel like 3 hours of training isn't enough, let me join you two."He said as he picked up his wooden sword.
"3 hours of training a day isn't enough to pass final selection!"he continued.
"I need to be strong enough to protect you and myself, I'll me train harder.." kyojuro thought as he tightened his grip on the sword.
"Your right kyojuro-kun, lets train our very best to pass final selection!"she said with determination.
"Woo! That's the spirit y/n! Let's do our best!"kyojuro said smiling, before he started swinging his sword at the training dummy.
