The Earth spins, a lonely blue orb,
surrounded by chatter and life,
yet utterly absorbed
in its own isolation, filled with strife.
Billions walk upon its weathered skin,
animals roam through forests and seas,
but do they hear the world they're in?
Its silent cries are lost in the breeze.
The mountains stand tall, oceans stretching wide,
forests and deserts, cities and plains,
yet the Earth's deepest longings stay denied,
and its soul aches, as solitude remains.
Oceans surge with restless tides
and mountains reach for skies above,
but who sees the tears the Earth hides?
Who returns its unspoken love?
Cities buzz with noise
and nature hums its age-old song,
yet the Earth yearns for joy,
to be loved and seen is what it longs.
Do we notice the seasons change,
the plants' gentle rhythms and sway?
Or are we too estranged
to feel its call, day by day?
In the middle of the night, when all seems still,
does the Earth whisper to the stars,
sharing secrets no one will—
old and new wounds and hidden scars?
All this life, yet the Earth feels so alone.
We are but silent witnesses to the world's endless dance.
It's desperate to be heard, its story known,
only waiting for someone to take a chance.
To understand, to listen, to feel,
to embrace its sorrows, its joys, its very being,
to help it heal.
And maybe, in finding that connection, the Earth
would cease its grieving.
