wash, rinse, repeat

The thoughts won't end,
spinning in their endless loops,
replaying every second, every moment,
a relentless, looping troupe.

Marching through my mind,
trying to decipher if I missed the dance,
leaving no peace to find.
I scrutinize every word, every gesture, every glance.

I can't silence this inner voice, this monologue.
What did I do wrong? Where did I go astray?
Trapped in a cycle like a broken analog,
picking up the pieces, day by day.

My mind runs in circles—wash, rinse, repeat.
Clocks ticking away the seconds of dismay.
I watch it unfold, trying to find my feet
as I drown in a sea of "what ifs" that won't drift away.

It haunts me; the overthinking never ceases,
robbing me of sleep, clarity, and joy.
I wish I could turn it off and find some peace,
but these thoughts consume me, a relentless play.
