Erwin's mind raced to the point of trembling, the urgency of his thoughts almost overwhelming. He could barely wait for the strategy meeting to end so he could see Y/N. He fought to keep his focus on the task at hand, forcing his mind to stay grounded despite the turmoil within.

"The survey corp is being summoned to the royal capital. Prepare for the departure, we will leave as soon as possible."

As Erwin turned to leave, Levi stepped forward, brow furrowed in concern.

"Erwin, where are you going? Aren't you leaving with us? We have no time to waste."

He hesitated, torn between his duty to the mission and his overwhelming need to be by Y/N's side.

"I..." He began, his voice strained with conflict.

But then, with a deep, steadying breath, he made his decision.

"Don't worry, I'll catch up with you later. I have something I need to take care of first." Erwin turned to Levi, his gaze resolute.

"You will have to lead the squad. I can't leave her right now."

Without waiting for a response, Erwin moved with a speed that seemed almost otherworldly. Even as someone called out to him, he did not break stride, single-mindedly focused on reaching the infirmary as quickly as possible. His mind and body were struggling to process the situation - every step felt like a blur, his thoughts consumed by a single, driving purpose. He had to get to Y/N. The weight of his responsibility as a commander warred with the overwhelming need to be by her side. But in that moment, there was no contest - Erwin knew his place was here, with Y/N. Whatever challenges lay ahead for the mission, he would face them, but only after ensuring her safety and wellbeing.

Was this karma for sacrificing his comrades for the greater good? Was this how he was being punished by the gods for being a heartless man? The questions tormented him as he dashed through the corridors, but there was no time for answers—only the desperate need to see Y/N.

Erwin's mind flashed back to the moment he first saw Y/N lying unconscious, covered with blood. The sight had filled him with a sense of dread and panic that he had never experienced before. As the medic rushed to her side, frantically trying to stop the bleeding, he shoved the soldier aside with firm resolve, determined to take matters into his own hands.

"Move aside, I'll do it myself!" He commanded, his voice laced with urgency.

He applied pressure to her wound, his hand trembling slightly as he watched helplessly as the warm blood seeped through the clean cloth he was using. His heart raced as if it might stop at any moment.

"Come on." He pleaded.

"Y/N." His voice grew hoarse from calling out her name.

"Come on, Y/N, please" He muttered under his breath, his eyes filled with a mixture of fear and determination.

"Don't you dare leave me! You promise!" Erwin growled, his voice low and strained.

As he saw the once clean cloth had become soaked with her blood, he panicked and raised his voice in urgency.

"Bring me more clean bandages!" The nearby nurse jumped at his command, quickly rushing to grab additional bandages.

She returned with an armful of clean bandages, handing them to Erwin without a word. He snatched them from her grasp, immediately replacing the soiled cloth, applying even more pressure. The nurse worked frantically around him, tending to Y/N's other injuries. He refused to leave her side, afraid that something worse might happen if he was not there. Even when the nurse pleaded with him to step aside, he ignored their requests. His focus remained solely on Y/N, unwilling to be parted from her as the medical team rushed to provide the necessary care.
