VI [Echoes of the past - eng]

Red woke up quite early for her. The birds chirping could be heard outside the window, light was streaming into the room through the lightly curtained windows. The girl felt a touch on her, a familiar touch. The subtle scent of rose perfume told her everything. In addition, after a moment she saw a bunch of blue curls on her shoulder. The red-haired girl looked back and met face to face with her sleeping roommate.

- She's so cute when she sleeps... - she thought

Chloe was breathing calmly, because she knew she was right next to her beloved. Red blushed slightly at the sight, she didn't want to wake her up, so she tried to get up as gently as possible. She slowly removed her arms from around her waist and then got out of bed. She thought that the blue-haired girl was still sleeping, but after a while, a quiet, still sleepy voice reached her ears.

- Red? Why aren't you sleeping anymore? - she asked, confused by the fact that the girl wasn't with her when she woke up

Red immediately sat on the edge of the bed, looking sympathetically at Chloe.

- Somehow, I couldn't sleep. I preferred to get up but not wake you up. - she announced

Chloe stood up at this and moved closer to the princess.

- Red... - she started

- How do you feel? - she asked

- I'm quite good, my head just hurts a bit, but don't worry about it. - she replied

Chloe was relieved at that but knew she had to ask something else. Before doing so, she took a deep breath.

- And about what happened yesterday... - Red immediately became sad and seemed to step back slightly

- Why did you react like that then? - she asked worriedly

Red looked down at the floor.

- I don't want to talk about it yet, Charming. Not yet... - she replied, then stood up and turned her back to her friend

Chloe slowly walked up to the red-haired girl and put her arm around her.

- If you don't want to talk about it yet, that's fine. But you should know that I am always here for you and will be happy to help you. No matter what it is. - she announced, smiling warmly at Red

The girl beamed slightly at this and then snuggled into her.

- Thank you Chloe, you have no idea how much this means to me. - she said subtly

Chloe was all red, her heart was pounding, she wanted to hold her close to her as long as possible. She felt that Red was not doing well. She wanted to help her, but she knew that if she forced it, it would not work. She cared so much about her. She would do anything to help her.

She decided to start by lifting her spirits and then gradually by building her own trust in her.

After some time, the red-haired girl moved away from her.

- Get ready for class, Princess, I'll go for a walk, okay? - she announced

Chloe, after recent events and the fact that Red was bothered by something, didn't necessarily want to let her go anywhere alone, but she thought it might be good for her.

- Sure, I'm not stopping you. Just take care of yourself and come back before class, okay? - she wanted to make sure that nothing would happen to her and that she would return to classes

The girl smiled cheekily at this.

- What's that Charming? Are you worried about me? - she asked, approaching the blue-haired girl

The woman immediately became flustered, looked down at the floor and started playing with her fingers behind her back. Besides, she didn't want Red to notice how red she was. That would be embarrassing.

- Maybe a little... - Chloe muttered

Red lifted her friend's head up a moment later and smiled warmly.

- Don't worry Chloe, I'll be fine. I'll just take a moment to think. - she replied

Chloe brightened slightly, but she knew that this smile and statement were so as not to worry her. She knew she couldn't ignore it.

-Okay Red, I'll wait here for you. - she announced

The girl then moved away, grabbed her sketchbook and a notebook she didn't know. She hadn't seen it before, she had no idea what Red was writing in it. Curiosity sparked in her, but she quickly came to her senses, because she couldn't invade her privacy.

As soon as Red left, she waited for a while. She felt that something might have happened to her. She knew she had to trust her but she was simply afraid for her, so after a while she went afther.

The girl was heading towards a nearby park, it was actually quiet and pleasant there. A perfect place to sit and think quietly.

Chloe hid behind a column of a building nearby, so that Red wouldn't notice her, but also to keep an eye on her.

Red sat down on a bench, nervously looked to make sure no one was watching her, and then opened the mysterious notebook. She took a deep breath and grabbed the pen in her hand.

For a moment she wondered where to start, until she finally did.

Dear Diary,

The last few days have been a real hit in my life. So much happened, I realized I like Chloe Charming. Yes, that Chloe Charming. I didn't think it would ever happen, but there are so many things about her that attract me, she's beautiful, smart, talented and so damn adorable... and on top of that she's so caring. I would like to tell her about my experiences with my mother, it's not easy for me to talk about it, I don't even know if she would believe me. I don't know if anyone would believe it, so at that meeting I decided it was better to leave than to explain it. It's really hard, especially lately, and it's getting harder and harder for me to pretend that everything is okay. Chloe is the only person who knows anything. She knows something is happening. I can only trust her. However, I am afraid that I may lose her and I don't want that. It's the only thing that keeps me going and doesn't because of it i don't hurt myself. In Wonderland I had Maddox, but unfortunately he didn't have the power to help me. I want to get rid of this damn pain, if I don't do it, it will completely destroy me. I just don't know what to do with it. I don't know if I want help, I don't know if  anyone can. I know one thing.. Chloe is my only hope...

When she finished writing, she put the diary next to her, after a while she saw the same girls who had attached themselves to her a few days ago walking nearby.

One of them laughed. Then she walked towards the girl.

- Hey Redhead, what did you write there? - she asked mockingly, leaning her hand on Red's shoulder

Chloe immediately boiled.

Red grabbed her notebook, held it tightly in her hand so that no one would intercept it.

The girl, however, pressed, tried to snatch the object from her, with the help of her friends.

Then Chloe ran to help her beloved.

Red immediately flew into a rage and sent a clenched fist towards one of them. The other one flew away on impact. When she got up from the ground, she started screaming at red-haired. She threatened her that she would go to the headmaster, that she would have problems.

At the same time, a worried Chloe approached the girl

- Red, don't worry, nothing is happening. I am here. - she announced in a calm voice

Chloe tried to calm the girl down somehow, but she ran away without looking back.

The Princess ran after her immediately.

- Red! Red wait!
