Y/N POV
i left my apartment not really knowing where i was going. matter of fact, i didn't even really know where atsumu was. he doesn't have practice since it was his off day, and he doesn't have anymore classes for the day either.
the only other options i could think of was the gym or his apartment.
i decided that i would try his apartment first. i got to the parking garage and got in my car, pulling out of the garage.
as i drove to his apartment, i thought about what to say.
do i tell him that i wanted him back? what if he didn't wanna hear from me at all. who am i kidding, of course he wants to hear from me, he literally left me tickets to go to his games every week.
wait.
his games.
i quickly opened my glove compartment and took out the many tickets he gave me. i took out the most recent one and looked at the date. i gasped seeing the date was for today. the game had started 10 minutes ago, meaning i wouldn't miss too much of it if i decided to go.
i turned my car around and made my way to the stadium. i somehow found parking amongst the full lot, and ran inside. the vip ticket guy was surprised to see me after ages, but happily let me in when i flashed him my ticket.
"y/n?" aoi called out. "hey" i said, walking over to them. "shit, we haven't seen you in ages! i thought you and atsumu were broken up?" emi said. "yeah, well, it's complicated i guess" i rubbed the back of my neck. "we're glad to have you back" yui smiled. "we save you a spot everytime hoping you'll come" manami frowned.
"come sit!" aoi said, patting the seat next to her. i sat down and made small conversation with keiko, who was sitting on my other side. "so... you're deciding to take him back?" keiko asked. "yeah. all roads lead to him" i smiled. "i'm glad" she smiled.
suna briefly looked back at the stands, and his eyes widened when we made eye contact. i smiled and so did he. on their next rotation, suna was beside atsumu, so he nudged him and briefly said something to him.
the blonde turned around, and made eye contact with me. i smiled and he smiled back. i gave him a thumbs up, and he turned around as the whistle blew.
it was the fourth set when i had arrived to the arena. keiko told me that we had won 2 sets, meaning they just had to win this one to secure their victory.
atsumu played amazingly as always.
it was 24-23, us and atsumu was up to serve. apparently he could only serve in silence, which was something he carried with him through highschool and now, university. i do think that little fist thing he does, might just be a little bit icky, but it's atsumu so i don't really care.
atsumu served the ball and the other team received it flawlessly. "jeez i think my arm would tear off if i had to receive that" aoi said. "one time i had to when i got dragged to play rec with them. safe to say, i am never going back" manami said, making us all laugh.
our team successfully blocked their attack, making them victorious.
the rest of the girls ran onto the court to celebrate with their partners, so i decided to get ready to leave. just as i was about to walk away i heard a voice scream my name.
"y/n!" he yelled, making me turn around. i walked back to him and smiled. "congrats" i smiled. "i can't believe you used the ticket" he said, breathing heavily as he was still calming down from the game.
i put my hands in my jacket pockets and smiled. "what're you doing here anyways? not that i don't wanna see you, i definitely do!" he exclaimed, waving his hands around like a maniac.
"i miss you" i replied. "that's why im here. because i miss you"
"get over here, yer so cute" he said, picking me up and carrying me above the blocks. i took my hands out of my pockets as he set me down on the court and wrapped my arms around him as he hugged me. "this might just be the best day of my life" he whispered. "huh? what did you say? i can't hear you!" i said, over the loud noises of cheering and celebration.
"nothing" he shook his head. "atsumu! we're going out for dinner, bring your girl" suna winked. "you should come" keiko said, leaning her head on his shoulder. i nodded and smiled. "i'll wait for you out front" atsumu said.
"sooo" keiko teased, linking our arms together. "i hope it works out this time" i sighed, as we walked towards the doors of the locker room.
we chatted some more until the boys starting filing out of the locker room. "nice to have ya back y/n" hinata said, giving me a high five. "it's nice to be back" i replied.
"i'll see you at dinner" hinata said, walking off to his car. "hey" atsumu said. "hey. ready to head out?" i asked. "yeah, you comin keiko?" he asked, looking at her. "yeah, tell rin to hurry his ass up" she huffed. atsumu stuck his head in the locker room and yelled. "sunarin yer girl is getting impatient". "shut up" he sighed, opening the door. "we'll see you guys there" she smiled, taking his hand and walking away.
atsumu and i were walking to the front when we got stopped by an interviewer. "l/n, miya, is it okay if we interview you guys live?" she asked. atsumu looked and me, and i nodded. "sure" he said.
"okay we're live in 3,2,1. hello! today we have l/n y/n and miya atsumu here with us" the interviewer said. we both said hello and smiled. "so the internet has been raving about you guys since the game ended. and everyone's been asking the same question, are you guys back together?" she asked.
"i hope to make her mine again soon" he smirked, throwing an arm around my shoulder. "we're working on it" i said.
