Offroad POV
Offroad was sitting at his desk when his phone rang. He knew actually it was.
"Hello," Offroad said into the phone.
"Come down I'm waiting," Pond's voice came from the other end of his voice before Offroad heard the call disconnected beep. Offroad gathered his things and advised his boss he was leaving for the day with a client.
Offroad made his way down the elevator, he was excited to see his friend after so long but he was even more excited for his and Daous' date. He had planned everything out. They were going to his favorite tiny restaurant and then going to get dessert and then back to his place for movies and other stuff. Offroad was most excited about the other stuff. Ever since he felt Daous piercing in his mouth he had dreamt of what it would feel like inside of him. He shook the thoughts from his head as the elevator doors opened to the bottom floor.
He made his way outside to see Pond standing next to the illegally parked car waiting for him. The man never changed. He was Offroads' college senior and took care of him. Pond was always galvanting from here to there on his family's jet. Offroad had made a passing comment once about how it must be nice and Pond had tried to take him on all the adventures but Offroad declined. He wanted to stay and study. People thought he was crazy for turning down Pond's invitation but Offroad knew the strings attached to that invitation and he had never seen Pond more than a brother.
"Welcome back!" Offroad shouted as he exited the doors to the building.
"It's good to be back!" Pond shouted back opening his arms for Offroad to step into them for a hug which Offroad happily gave him.
"I brought your portfolio to go over with inves-"
"Oh yeah about that," Pond interrupted him. "That was canceled, did I forget to tell you?"
"What?" Offroad asked confused stepping back from him. "Yes, you forget, what are you doing here then,"
"Taking you to go see my baby," Pond smiled.
"Pond I'm billing you as your accountant right now," Offroad informed him.
"Okay so? Just look at it as another paid lunch hour and it's not like you're billing me you're billing my dad." Pond laughed.
"Yeah but I have somewhere to be after work," Offroad informed him. "I don't have time to play hooky with you today."
"I promise it's just a quick thing, and as my accountant, I need you there in case the value of my property has decreased," Pond said opening his passenger door for Offroad. Offroad sighed and walked to get in the car.
"I need to be back here by 5:40 on the dot not a minute later," Offroad told Pond as he shut the door and jogged over to his side sliding in.
"What you got a date?" Pond asked as he started the car and pulled off. Offroad could feel his ears getting red. "Holy shit you do! Which who?" Pond asked.
"A guy from work it's new but it's going well," Offroad said keeping it vague. Offroad had learned the hard way of giving Pond too many details early on as the last time Pond had ended up finding the guy who was seeing and threatening him if he hurt Offroad so badly the guy never contacted him again. It wasn't until Offroad was crying on Pond's couch that the man had informed him what he had done. It had put a big bump in his relationship with Pond. They recovered from it but their relationship was never the same.
"Is he more handsome than me?" Pond asked.
"He almost the exact of you but still handsome nonetheless," Offroad said speaking the truth.
