Offroad POV

Offroad woke up just feeling warm and comfortable. He didn't remember falling asleep last night. But as he opened his eyes he remembered he was in Daous' room, in his house. They had gotten to his home last night and quickly made their way up to his room. Daou had jumped in the shower while Offroad changed clothes and snuggled in Daous' bed waiting. He didn't remember when Daou came back into the room, only that he felt arms wrap around him. He had felt so safe and warm that his body just stopped fighting and gave in to the exhaustion. Offroad set up in the bed stretching and looking around for Daou when his eyes landed on the bedside clock. It was almost noon. It was then he smelt something yummy in the air that made his mouth water and his stomach grumble. Offroad took a deep breath, got out of the bed, and made his way towards the kitchen where the smell was coming from, along with a quiet singing. Daou's mother was floating around the kitchen cooking out a storm humming and singing as she went.

"Oh, you're awake!" She beamed at Offroad as her eyes landed on him. "Daou said to let you sleep but I can let you starve," she laughed. "Take a seat," she motioned to the small table. "Food almost ready,"

"Can I help with anything?" Offroad asked not wanting to just sit there.

"Actually yes," Daous' mother said. "There is a package in the car I can't carry, can you bring it in for me?"

"Of course," Offroad said, smiling at her.

"Thank you, the keys are in the bowl on the table by the door," she told him, pointing in the direction of the front door. Offroad made his way over to the door slipping on who he assumed was Daou sandals but he paused as he reached for the key fob. On the table was a giant glass container filled with random packets of gum, trinkets, and small candies.

As Offroad stared closer it was all the things they sold at the store. This man had not kept all the small things Offroad made him buy to flirt with him, did he? Offroad shook his head trying to clear the thoughts from his head and grabbed the key fob and headed out to the car. Unlocking the car popped the trunk and grabbed the medium size box before locking the car back up and carrying the box into the kitchen.

"Where did you want this?" Offroad asked, causing Daous' mother to jump, yelp, and drop the bowl in her hands sending it crashing to the ground and shattering. "Oh my god," Offroad said, setting the box down and rushing towards her. "Are you okay?! I am so sorry,"

"Oh dear, it's okay. You are so quiet I am used to my heavy-footed son." She laughed as she bent down to picture up the larger pieces of glass.

"No, please let me get it," Offroad said, beating her to pick up the glass.

"The trash is right behind you," she smiled pointing to the bin behind him. "There is a small broom and dustpan over there," she said, pointing to the area behind the table. "Can you grab it? I don't want to track glass anywhere," Offroad nodded, and after dropping the large pieces of glass into the bin he went and grabbed the items she had asked for and began cleaning up the mess dumping it all into the trash as well.

"I'm sorry, I'll buy you a new bowl," Offroad said as he put the brown back where it belonged.

"It's no biggie let's just be thankful it was only a side dish that was ruined," Daous' mother laughed. "Sit please," Offroad nodded and took a seat where some bowls and plates had already been placed.

"All of this looks amazing," Offroad said, eyeing all the food.

"Go ahead and dig in!" She said excitedly as she sat herself. Offroad smiled at her and began to do just as she said. Offroad hadn't realized how hungry he was until the first bite hit his tongue. "Daou told me you work this evening? I'll take you to the store."
