[this is about a week after the last chapter]
Matt POV:
"Hey, Matty." Gus says sitting down next to me at the lunch table. "Hi, Gus." I say looking up from my phone.
"What'cha, looking at?" Gus says, laying his head on my shoulder.
"Oh, I'm reading an article about Jellyfish." I say. "Really tell me about it." He says sitting up.
"Well, they don't have hearts or brains." I say. "Really tell me more." he says looking at me smiling.
I go on talking for the rest of lunch, and Gus asks many questions.

"Uh, hey Matty?" Gus says as we walk out of school. "Yeah, Gus." I say.
"Do you wanna go to the fair with me this weekend?" he asks.
The fair, the fair with Gus. My friend, Gus.
"Yeah, sure." I say. "Ok, well I'll see you tomorrow." Gus says with a big smile.
I start to walk to Steve's car. "Hey, Matt." Steve says as I get into the car. "Hi." I say thinking about what Gus had said.
"Are you ok, did something happen?" Steve asks."Yeah, I'm ok," I say.
"You sure?" Steve says. "Yeah, Gus just asked me something though, and I'm kinda confused." I say.
"What did he ask you?" Steve asks. " he asked me if I wanted to go to the fair this weekend." I say.
"Oh, so what did you say." he asks driving away from the school. "I said yes of course." I say.
"So what are you confused about?" Steve asks. "I think, I love him. But he's my friend, and I don't even know what it feels like to love someone." I say putting my hands over my face.
"Damn, well can't help you with that. Sorry little bro." Steve says. "Ugh, why'd I have to get cursed with the aroace brother." I say.
"You're just mad I'm cooler than you." He says. "Oh, whatever." I say.
