Matt POV:
When school is over, I go outside and see Steve waiting in his car. I walk over to the car and get in.
"Hey, little bro. How was your first day." Steve says.
"It was good, I even made a friend. Well at least I think I did." I say.
"Well, what's your friend's name." Steve asks.
"His name is Gus, and I have a few of my classes with him and lunch." I say getting really excited.
"That's great Matt, you know I really proud of you." Steve says.
"Why what do you mean?" I ask not knowing what he means.
"Because you're starting at this new school and your already making friends." he says.
"Well thanks Steve." I say.
When we get home Steve hands my hoddie.
"Dad was awake when I came home, and I don't want you to get yelled at." he says specking about my outfit.
"Why can't we just have normal parents that don't fight and get drunk all the time." I say.
"I don't know Matt, but we'll be ok." he says.
I put on my hoddie and we get out of the car. When we get in the house, I see my dad asleep on the couch.
I go upstairs to my room and put my bag down. I change my clothes and sit on my bed and look at my phone for a few hours.
Then my parents start fighting. I roll my eyes and put my headphones on. Soon after I fall asleep.
