"She was crying on my shoulder; all I could do was hold her."

⚠️TW: mentions on self-harm and abuse⚠️

Matt POV:

"Matt, will you tell me what was wrong or what happened." Gus says sitting on the floor of his room.

"I told you it was nothing wrong." I say with a fake smile on my face siting down next to him.

"Matt, I know something happened, just tell me."

"My mom got mad at me last night, that's all." I say trying to hold back my tears but failing knowing that's not why I'm upset.

"Matt?" He says when I start sobbing.

"I-I'm sorry." I say holding my hands over my face.

"Matt, it's ok, just tell me what's wrong and I can help you." He says pulling my hands away from my face.

"S-she hit me." I say still not telling the whole truth.

"So, she hit you, did she hit your arm. Is that why you flinched when I touched, your arm?" He says wrapping his arms around me in a hug.

"No, she didn't, she hit me across the face." I say putting my arms around his neck and burying my face into his shoulder."

"So, what happened to your arm."

Tears start to run down my face, but I stay silent.

"Matt?"

I remove my arms from around his neck and lift up my sleeve, showing him the cuts on my arms that are slowing scaring.

"Matt, did you-." He says, and I start sobbing once again.

"I'll be right back, stay right here, ok." He says with a smile, resting and hand on my cheek, as he stands up.

"O-ok" I say quietly, more tears falling from my face.

I sit for a few minutes before Gus comes back. Holding a bottle of rubbing alcohol, cotton balls, and a washcloth.

"Can I see your arm." He says sitting back down holding out his had.

I slowly roll up both of my sleeves, putting my arm in front of him.

"Now this is going to hurt like hell but we have to clean your cuts." He says putting the rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball.

"How'd you know I didn't clean them." I ask trying to distract myself from the pain.

"I just had a hunch, and also your Matt so makes sense." He says with a smile. "I'm all done." He says closing the bottle of rubbing alcohol.

"Thanks Gus." I say rolling my sleeves back down.

"No, problem."

I'm backkkkkkk, idk what possessed me to wake up and start writing again, but whatever.
I love you and remember to drink water.
